Manufacturing Selection Phase

Manufacturing Trial Phase

Yes. Our manufacturing network includes partners who cater to small-batch and startup volumes across most product categories. MOQs vary by manufacturer and product type — powder blends can often start from as low as 50–100kg. Gummies can often be as low as 1000 units, and bars can be as low as 5000 units. Drinks and nutraceutical products typically require higher minimum runs. Often we work with manufacturers globally to find you the best MOQ for your specific product. We'll always match you with a manufacturer whose MOQ is appropriate for your stage, and negotiate on your behalf.
YGF Manufacturing is a product development, sourcing, and manufacturing coordination partner, not a physical manufacturer. For this reason, we do not hold manufacturing certifications such as BRC, ISO 22000, or HACCP in our own name.
Instead, every product we develop and bring to market is manufactured by vetted, certified manufacturing partners that hold the appropriate accreditations for their category and region. This typically includes certifications such asBRCGS / BRC, ISO 22000 / ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, Organic, Halal, Kosher (where required).
We verify certifications at the manufacturer level, ensure they are current, and align the chosen facility with your product category, target market, and regulatory requirements (FSANZ, UK FSA, EFSA, TGA where applicable). Where required, manufacturer certifications can be shared during the manufacturing stage under NDA.

Manufacturing costs vary significantly by product category, ingredients, packaging format, and order volume. As a rough guide we typically recommend looking at competing products on the market you're interested in producing, and dividing their retail value by 3-5. This gives a rough guide on their price point. While we can often meet that price point, other factors such as production volume, production location and your desired formulation and ingredients will affect that.

Yes. We support FSANZ compliance, ingredient documentation, nutritional panels, and basic label audits. We also offer packaging support—from sourcing to printing and filling.
How long does it take to develop and launch a product?
The full process — formulation, sampling, manufacturer selection, production trials, packaging, and first production run — typically takes 4–8 months depending on product complexity. Powder-based products are generally faster (3–4 months). Gummies, bars, drinks, and skincare products tend to take 5–7 months due to more complex manufacturing requirements. Packaging development runs in parallel and adds approximately 4–6 weeks. Faster timelines are possible if you're able to approve samples and decisions quickly — our record is 29 days from idea to shelf.
Can you help me scale a product that's already on the shelf?
Yes. We regularly work with brands that have already launched and need help with one or more of the following: reducing unit costs, increasing production volume, improving formulation consistency, expanding into new retail channels or export markets, or adding new SKUs to an existing range.
