About Body Conditioning

Nestled in the countryside just outside Petersfield, Body Conditioning is a personal training focused studio helping busy adults build strength, improve fitness, and feel more confident in themselves again.

Our approach is centred around longevity, sustainable progress, and real-life results. We’re not about quick fixes or extreme routines.

Meet Our Coaches

Barry, Founder

Hi, I’m Barry.

Over 20 years ago, I started coaching with one goal in mind:

to help people stop guessing and start making real progress.

Because most people don’t fail because they lack effort.

They fail because they lack structure, accountability, and the right guidance.

I’ve worked with thousands of clients, from complete beginners to high performers.

But the pattern is always the same.

Busy lives.

Good intentions.

No clear plan.

That’s why Body Conditioning was never built to be just a gym.

It’s a coached environment where everything has a purpose.

Every session is structured. Every programme is tailored. Every client is held to a high standard.

No fluff. No guesswork. No turning up and hoping for the best.

I specialise in helping busy adults, particularly those over 40, build strength, improve fitness, and feel better day to day.

Not through extremes, but through simple, sustainable habits that actually last.

→ Move better

→ Get stronger

→ Build something that lasts

Because quick fixes fade.

But structure, consistency, and the right coaching don’t.

Kirsty, Coach

Coach, Mum, and Specialist in Women’s Strength & Health

Hi, I’m Kirsty.

I’ve been coaching for over a decade, after spending 14 years in a fast-paced corporate career. So I understand exactly what it’s like trying to balance work, family, and your own health.

Because for a lot of women, the challenge isn’t knowing what to do.

It’s finding something that actually fits into real life.

Busy schedules.

Family commitments.

Constantly putting yourself last.

That’s where most plans fall apart. That’s also where I coach differently.

I specialise in working with women, particularly those over 40, who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or like they’ve lost momentum with their health. From pre and post-natal stages through to perimenopause and menopause.

Because your body changes.

Your lifestyle changes.

So your approach needs to change too.

This isn’t about extremes.

It’s about building strength in a way that feels safe, structured, and achievable. Even if you’ve never stepped into a gym before.

Inside Body Conditioning, you’re coached properly. Every session has a purpose. Every programme is tailored.

No guesswork.

No intimidation.

No being left to figure it out on your own.

But there are still standards.

You’ll be supported, but you’ll also be challenged. Because confidence doesn’t come from avoiding things. It comes from proving to yourself you can do them.

→ Build strength

→ Restore confidence

→ Take control of your health again

Because when you start prioritising yourself, everything else improves with it.

And that’s what drives me. Seeing women go from doubting themselves

to feeling strong, capable, and back in control.

Because I’ve lived it too.

Scott, Coach

Hi, I’m Scott.

Training has been a huge part of my life for many years and it’s something I’ve always been passionate about.

Like a lot of people, I know what it feels like to lack confidence or feel unsure where to start in the gym. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy coaching so much now, helping people simplify the process and realise they’re capable of far more than they think.

I enjoy strength training, pushing myself physically, and helping others improve not just how they look, but how they feel day to day.

My approach to coaching is based around structure, consistency, and creating an environment where people feel supported whilst still being challenged.

At Body Conditioning, we work with real people living busy lives, so I understand the importance of making training realistic, sustainable, and something people can genuinely enjoy.

For me, one of the best parts of coaching is seeing someone become stronger, more confident, and start building habits that positively impact every area of their life.

→ Build confidence
→ Get stronger
→ Create long-term change

Because fitness should improve your life, not take it over.

Jake, Coach

Hi, I’m Jake.

I’ve been coaching for nearly 6 years, but my journey with training started long before that.

Over 12 years of consistent strength training, alongside pushing into endurance events like marathons and Hyrox.

Because training shouldn’t just make you look better.

It should make you perform better.

A lot of people come in thinking they need to hate the gym to get results.

That it has to be hard, repetitive, and something to just get through.

That’s not how I coach.

Sessions are structured and purposeful, but they’re also enjoyable.

Because if you don’t enjoy it, you won’t stay consistent.

At the same time, I hold a high standard.

Technique matters. Execution matters. Doing things properly matters.

I’ve worked with complete beginners, experienced gym-goers, and athletes.

But most people start in the same place.

Unsure what they’re doing.

Lacking confidence.

No clear plan.

My role is to change that.

→ Move properly

→ Train with intent

→ Build consistency

Because results don’t come from doing more.

They come from doing the right things, consistently.

Liam, Coach

Hi, I’m Liam.

I’ve been coaching for nearly 6 years and training for over 17 years, constantly working on improving strength, movement, and overall performance. Because for most people, the challenge isn’t just training. It’s how they feel about training.

The gym can feel intimidating.

Judgemental.

Like it’s not a place for them.

That’s what I change. I create an environment where people feel comfortable, confident, and able to focus on themselves.

Where training becomes something they look forward to, not something they avoid.

But I’m also direct with my coaching.

I’ll tell you when you’re doing well.

And I’ll tell you when you need to step it up.

Because progress comes from honesty, not guesswork.

I’ve worked with people who trained for years without seeing results.

And I’ve helped them completely change how they approach training.

Stronger lifts.

Better habits.

A different mindset.

→ Build strength

→ Create consistency

→ Understand the process

Because once people understand what actually works,

they stop starting over.

Helping busy professionals over 30 lose body fat, build strength, and create lasting results with structured coaching.
