Kingfisher Development, LLC was founded in 2003 by Fritz Hofmeister. Fritz, a Certified Building Contractor, started in real estate in 1997 and immediately specialized in new construction in South Tampa. He gained years of experience not only locating new home sites and selling completed homes, but also in design, permitting and construction, before starting his own company.

Liz Hofmeister has a background in finance and commercial development and now takes pride in assisting Fritz in making sure every Kingfisher Development home is of the highest quality. Kingfisher Development is a family affair – even their children help out at the job sites. Liz and Fritz take on a limited number of homes at a time in order to be hands-on and give each home the attention it deserves.

Fritz Hofmeister oversees every stage of construction so all Kingfisher homes benefit from his attention to detail and commitment to building with quality. Fritz’ goal for Kingfisher Development has always been simple – to build quality homes that will endure. This starts at the most important element, the structure. Kingfisher homes are always solid block construction so they are not only stronger against possible storms, but also resist damage from moisture and termites. Fritz also insists on quality from every trade that contributes to the home. Many subcontractors have worked with Fritz for almost twenty years; building relationships that ensure Kingfisher homes are built by professionals who take pride in their work. Kingfisher clients can rest easy that Fritz will stand behind his work for years to come.

Liz manages the day-to-day activities at each home. She makes the design and selections for Kingfisher homes that are being marketed for sale and loves bringing the style of each home alive and carrying out the design in every detail from paint color to doorknobs. When working on custom homes, Liz enjoys sharing her experience as she guides clients through the many options and make their selections. Initially licensed in 1989, Liz has extensive real estate experience and as broker of Kingfisher Realty, LLC, Liz also handles marketing and sales.

As residents of South Tampa since 1996, the Hofmeisters really know their market and they specifically keep Kingfisher Development a small volume construction company so that they can be hands-on and ensure every home is built right. Fritz and Liz enjoy helping clients turn their plans into a home. Many have referred family and friends and even selected Kingfisher for a second home.
