Most Common Questions

How much weight do patients lose on average?

Patients who enroll in medication based weight loss programs lose approximately 15% - 20% of their weight on average.

What can I eat when I am enrolled in GLP-1 program?

At Treeline Medical, we don’t impose dietary restrictions. Instead, we focus on personalized, medication-based weight loss plans. You'll work directly with a wellness team via telehealth to make small, sustainable changes. No foods are off-limits, ensuring your healthier lifestyle lasts long term!

What should I know about GLP-1 medication shortage?

At Treeline Medical, we prioritize consistent, high-quality care despite medication shortages. We offer solutions to ensure patients have continuous access to their medications, working closely with you and your pharmacy to navigate any potential disruptions.

How long will it take to get my order?

Typical turnaround time for delivery is 5-7 business days from ordering. Your medication will be compounded, professionally cold packaged, and shipped direct-to-you by an approved State Regulated or Federally Regulated 503A/ 503B Compounding Pharmacy.

What is the eligibility for GLP-1?

There are a few medical conditions such as acute pancreatitis, personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer, pregnancy, taking insulin, and multiple endocrine neoplasia that may prevent you from receiving a prescription for GLP-1 medication. Please speak with a clinician to ensure these medications are both safe and appropriate for you to take.

How long till I see results?

Everyone's biology is different.Weight loss can occur quickly within your first 1-2 weeks, or it may take higher doses of medications over several weeks to discover optimal weight loss. You may even need to switch medications occasionally as your body transforms over time during your weight loss journey.

What are the side effects of GLP-1 Medication?

The most common side effects of GLP-1 medication are nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and acid reflux. Other less common side effects may include: vomiting, stomach (abdomen) pain, headache, tiredness (fatigue), upset stomach, dizziness, feeling bloated, belching, gas, stomach flu, and runny nose or sore throat.

These are not automatic symptoms, and are most typically seen from titrating (increasing) doses too fast- or additionally from over-consumption of foods & drinks high in added sugars, fats, or alcohol.

Other serious side effects may include:

- inflammation of your pancreas (pancreatitis)

- gallbladder problems (gallstones)

- increased risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)

- kidney problems (kidney failure)

- serious allergic reactions

- change in vision in people with type 2 diabetes

- increased heart rate depression or thoughts of suicide

- Possible thyroid tumors, including cancer

Please do not use semaglutide or tirzepatide if you or any of your family have ever had a type of thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or if you have an endocrine system condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), or if you have had a serious allergic reaction to semaglutide, tirzepatide, or any of the ingredients in compounded GLP-1.

What are your dosing protocols?

Dosing is highly individualized and can be discussed further with your Clinician. We generally believe in progressive titration, but there are several clinical & economical factors to consider throughout your therapy. You can count on our Clinical team to guide you through the optimal path to a 'New You' based on your individual needs and goals.

Why do you charge a $49 prescription fee?

To stay compliant with State & Federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA), all patients at Treeline Medical must have a quarterly health screening performed, & then reviewed by a Licensed Provider in your State prior to a prescription (Rx) being written. This is also for your utmost protection & care, as the Provider will ensure that your medication is both safe and appropriate for you to take at the doses prescribed. The Prescription Fee allows you to be cared for by high-quality Licensed and Insured Providers who are trained to help you get the most out of your GLP-1 weight loss and health journey.

What if the medication doesn't work for me?

Due to differences in biology, genetics, environment, and lifestyle, GLP-1 medication is not guaranteed to generate weight loss quickly and effectively for everyone.

You may experience slow weight loss, no weight loss, or even temporary weight gain as your body acclimates to the medication.

This phenomena has occurred in about 3% of our patient base. Your Clinician will work with you to address any potential underlying medical issues such as hormonal and thyroid abnormalities.

If all checks out there, your Clinician may recommend changing to a different GLP-1 Medication or program. It is best to commit to a 6-month effort with GLP-1 medication, and not become discouraged if you don't lose over 10 pounds in your very first month.

We'll be with you every step of the way to help you optimize your GLP-1 weight loss journey!

Do you offer a refund if I am unsatisfied with my results?

We do not have the ability to refund your prescription medication after it has been used, per FDA guidelines.

If you have any doubts or concerns about taking your medication, please speak with a Wellness Team Member or Clinician before breaking the pharmacy seal of your medication for refund eligibility.

If you are unsatisfied with your weight loss results after taking your medication, your Clinician will work with you to address possible underlying medical issues such as hormonal and thyroid abnormalities- as well as lifestyle conditions such as elevated stress, lack of sleep, and poor nutrition or hydration. If all checks out there, your Clinician may recommend changing to a different GLP-1 Medication or program.

In the event that it is clinically recommended to switch to a different GLP-1 medication or program, Treeline Medical Weight Loss will work with you to place a 'change order' with the pharmacy in which you will simply cover the difference in price of the new medication plus shipping.
