Regenerative medicine is a branch of medicine which deals with the “process of replacing, engineering or regenerating human cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function”. Regenerative Medicine is an exciting new science that utilizes the power of platelets with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cells.

Stem Cells are cells that have not yet been turned on by the body. Stem cells have the remarkable potential to develop into many different cell types including cartilage, muscle, bone, tendon, ligament, collagen, etc. In addition, stem cells in tissues can serve as an internal repair system where they divide to replenish dead or damaged cells. Stem Cells derived from Umbilical Cord related products have higher concentrations of Growth Factors, Peptides, Hyaluronic Acid, and Mesenchymal Stem Cells compared to PRP.
Stem Cell Therapy is a quick, minimally invasive, effective treatment option. The injection of Stem Cells is done in our office, outpatient, with essentially zero “down time” for our patients. It has been proven to decrease inflammation, regrow and repair areas of damage, and delay or even prevent surgery!
At Performance Medical Clinic, we use donor Mesenchymal Stem Cells – Umbilical Cord Tissue, which is the most ethical and effective product that there is to date. Umbilical cord tissue contains between 1,600,000 and 2,000,000 stem cells per sample which is about 98% stronger and more effective than PRP or Bone Marrow stem cells. The donor product that we use is minimally manipulated for best results. Stem Cell products used in our office are all made from full term, C-section live deliveries from consenting donors. These are non-embryonic tissues and all donors are prescreened and monitored up until delivery, then undergo extensive and comprehensive medical, social, and blood testing prior to tissue donation. All tissues are processed and tested in accordance with standards established by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and FDA requirements before release.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is obtained from spinning a patient’s blood in a centrifuge at high speeds. This process isolates a concentrated serum of platelets. These platelets are then activated and re-injected into the body. Once injected in the body the platelets release growth factors and activate stem cells, leading to the healing of injured tissues and new tissue growth.
When PRP is injected into a damaged joint or tissue, it leads to a mild inflammatory process of the surrounding tendons, ligaments, and cartilage, which triggers the healing process. As a result of this inflammation, new tissue begins to develop. The tissue that is developed can then function like new tissue, which leads to a reduction or even disappearance of symptoms.
For best results, Stem Cells and Platelet Rich Plasma can be injected simultaneously!
Studies show improvement in 80-85% of patients, with many patients experiencing complete relief of symptoms.
The entire procedure of processing the blood and injecting the growth factors usually takes less than 1 hour at our office, and the resulting rejuvenated, healthier tissue can be permanent!
These Treatments have the power to eliminate the need for more invasive treatments or surgery!
We BELIEVE that the current healthcare system is broken. We provide a process to achieve better health, with the PURPOSE of helping patients live longer, be healthier, and optimize their performance.
