NHS

All our patients are registered as NHS patients.

The government subsidises NHS dentistry in Scotland – they pay 20% of the total fee and the patient pays 80%, unless the patient is exempt in which case the NHS will cover all costs.

We offer all NHS treatment options however we also offer our patients Private treatments within the practice. Your dentist will always talk you through the different treatment options available, pros/cons and costs.

The NHS sets the fees that we charge our patients for the NHS services we provide.

Training Practice

We have been selected by NHS Education Scotland as a Vocational Training practice for new dental graduates.

This is an honour and something we feel enhances our practice. Both ourselves and our patients have the opportunity to help new graduates at the start of their career to gain invaluable experience and knowledge.

Both Suzanne and Victoria are the mentors so at times you may have them brought through to the surgery to assess and discuss treatment options ensuring the patient always receives the best possible care.

Routine Care

Every check-up appointment involves

  • Medical history
  • soft tissue check
  • oral cancer screening
  • gum disease screening
  • dental decay risk assessment
  • inspection of existing fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures
  • X-rays at periodic intervals dependent on decay risk

We aim to provide our patients with a high standard of dental care at all times. We all focus on prevention and reducing disease through patient education involving smoking, diet and oral hygiene.

we're with you every step of the way
