IDD Services

Empowering individuals to build skills, confidence, and independence

Prosperity Path Recovery provides comprehensive services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), including support for co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. Our programs focus on skill development, behavioral support, and community integration to help individuals lead meaningful, fulfilling lives.

We take a person centered approach, supporting emotional well being, daily functioning, recovery oriented skills, and long term growth through structured, compassionate care.

Get Care and Resources

Call our 24-hour support line to connect with licensed therapists and counselors who can guide you through available IDD services and enrollment options.

Our care team is available to answer questions, explain programs, and help individuals and families identify the most appropriate level of support.

Getting an Initial IDD Evaluation

If you or a loved one requires support related to developmental, behavioral, adaptive functioning, or substance related concerns, our team is here to help. The first step is a comprehensive evaluation designed to understand strengths, needs, and personal goals.

During the initial evaluation, a licensed therapist or behavioral health professional conducts an in depth assessment to develop an individualized support plan.

Your initial evaluation will focus on:

  • Daily living and adaptive skill functioning

  • Communication and social interaction abilities

  • Behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, and coping skills

  • Substance use screening and risk assessment, when appropriate

  • Educational, vocational, and community needs

  • Family dynamics and support systems

This process ensures services are fitted to support meaningful progress and long term success.

Outpatient IDD Services

Our outpatient IDD programs allow individuals to continue participating in daily routines while receiving structured behavioral, mental health, and substance use support.

Services are designed to promote independence, social engagement, emotional stability, and healthy decision making in a supportive environment.

Outpatient IDD services include:

  • Behavioral and functional assessments

  • Life skills development programs

  • Individual and group therapy sessions

  • Substance use education and recovery focused support

  • Community integration and social skills training

  • Family support and education

  • Ongoing care coordination and progress monitoring

Inpatient & Structured Support Services

For individuals requiring a higher level of structured care, Prosperity Path Recovery provides supportive environments focused on safety, skill building, stabilization, and recovery support.

These services are appropriate when behavioral challenges, mental health symptoms, or substance use concerns significantly impact daily functioning or when consistent supervision is needed.

Our structured support services focus on:

  • Behavior stabilization and emotional regulation

  • Substance use monitoring and recovery oriented support

  • Skill building for daily living and independence

  • Therapeutic group activities

  • Family involvement and transition planning

  • Coordination of continued outpatient or community based services

Our goal is to help individuals progress toward the least restrictive and most appropriate level of care.

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Support for Individuals with IDD

Individuals with IDD may experience substance use challenges alongside developmental and mental health needs. Prosperity Path Recovery provides developmentally appropriate substance use support that prioritizes safety, understanding, and individualized care.

Treatment plans are adapted to cognitive abilities, communication styles, and learning needs, helping individuals build healthy coping strategies and reduce substance related risks.

SUD support for individuals with IDD may include:

  • Individualized substance use assessments

  • Behavioral interventions and coping skill development

  • Education on substance awareness and decision making
