LOW DOSE NALTREXONE (LDN)

LDN

What is LDN?

Low Dose Naltrexone is an off-label use of the FDA- approved drug Naltrexone. Rather than the traditional 50mg daily dose of Naltrexone for those addicted to alcohol or narcotics, LDN is used at a lower dose, no higher than 4.5mg and is generally taken at bedtime.

How Does LDN Work?

Naltrexone, when used in a lower dose can modulate the immune system helping with chronic inflammation, decrease pain, and have anti-tumor effects. When used in low doses (less than 10 mg daily), it is now widely understood to act as an Immunomodulator. An Immunomodulator modifies the immune response or the functioning of the immune system. Many studies have shown efficacy for a number of medical conditions.
