Many Christians read stories in the Old Testament of God's anger and wrath then struggle to connect him to Jesus's love in the New Testament. This study will help us understand how every act of punishment or judgment in the Old Testament is rooted in love. They are part of the story of restoration that is perfected by Jesus. We will look at six Old Testament stories to reteach ourselves who God truly shows himself to be and allow his identity to reorient our own lives according to the ways he pursues us.

Week 2: Noah and the Flood

Week 3: Moses’ Sacrificial System

Week 4: Joshua Purifies the Land

Week 5: Imprecatory Psalms

Week 6: Prophetic Doom and Gloom
