Travel Like a Pioneer
Generations ago, early converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints traveled from back east towing handcarts loaded with all of their possessions. You can walk in their footsteps during handcart treks at Lazy R Ranch. Our Mormon pioneer handcarts are authentic reproductions that you can take on our miles of trails without intrusion from ATVs or other motorized vehicles.
To get started on your own handcart treks, simply bring your own or take advantage of our convenient hand cart rental service. Our private land is open to your ward or stake so you can travel in privacy amid the scenic backdrop of the Drybuck Valley. We’ll even bring modern amenities to you so you can fully focus on the experience.
