Meet Dr. K.C. Fox
K.C. Fox is a multihyphenate. An entrepreneur, 24-year-veteran of the American Broadcast Industry, an American Media Professional, TV, and Film Executive Producer a maven and subject matter expert in the industry.
In 2023, She received The Black Media Honors Political Icon Award. In 2022, she received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement award from President Joe Biden for her contributions to society. Atlanta’s Women of Wealth and Men’s Quarterly Magazine honored Ms. Fox in 2019 with an Economic Influencer award amongst at least 20 other young minority millionaires. K.C. has been featured in several publications notably for her leadership and barrier breaker accomplishments. In 2018 she received the Minority Business Leader Award from the Dallas Business Journal for her contributions to the TV industry. She was also recognized in the Jan edition of Essence Magazine “Everyone Who Gave Us Life”, and “Who’s Who in Black Dallas” 4th edition.
K.C. has gained national notoriety as one of the founders and only female of The Black Cross disaster relief organization working alongside National Activist and prominent Civil Rights Attorneys . This work led to K.C. being featured on platforms such as MSNBC.
Despite the odds and often setting the standard for black women in the profession of media, K.C. has been recognized as a thought leader and champion for women earning her honors such as “One of Dallas Most influential Women” by the Steed Society and Rolling out Magazine, and again in 2016 she was named “The Best of the Best in Television Media” by The Dallas Examiner.
Prior to starting an enterprise of businesses, she worked for Tribune Media, where she held the title Director of Broadcast Technology, On- Air Operations as well as the Executive Producer for the first all-minority local/live reality morning show. Tribune is one of the country’s largest media outlets owning 42 television stations to include the WGN superstation. K.C. has been noted as the only female as well as one of the youngest to hold this title making it even more notable owning it in the fifth largest market in the country.
She is an advising member of Jay-Z Roc Nation United Justice Coalition, a founding member of Sisters of the Movement, a member of the National Association of Black Journalist, Women in Media, and a member of the National Council of Negro Women. She is also a member of ForbesBLK. K.C. served as Second VP of the NAACP- Dallas where she oversaw the political action, legal redress, communications, and health committees as well as serving as a charter member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women where she chaired The Civil Rights and Citizens training committees.
Currently. K.C. is the President/CEO of The Vault, a successful media and crisis communication firm. Her clientele ranges from professional NBA and NFL athletes, Civil Rights Attorneys, entertainers, business owners and politicians. Her firm has served as the strategic entity and crisis communication team behind some of the biggest names and cases in the civil and women’s rights arena such as cases against R Kelly. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, K.C. launched a tech company cleverly branded, An-All Female Tech Co. Dedicate to serving industries that she has shaped as an industry professional. She is also a proud Franchiser Owner of The Learning Experience. According to FORBES, The Learning Experience is one of the more serious players in the early education and childcare franchise space. Last year the brand’s corporate office netted nearly $8.5 million in profit and more than $21.9 million in revenue. K.C.’s passion doesn’t stop there. She is also the founder of The Lady General Foundation. The foundations flagship program is The Lady General Camp, a female leadership camp for girls aged 9-17. The Lady General Foundation is laser focused on Creating the Next Generation of Female Leaders.
A strong and empowered woman, K.C. served nine years in the United States Air Force, where she honorably completed a tour to Northern Iraq in support of Operation Iraq and Enduring Freedom. She served as the primary training combat communications Sergeant for the 506 Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, worked as the primary Assistant to the Battle Captain in combat operations and served as the Base Defense Operating Center Air Force/ Army Liaison to the Joint tactical Operation Center for the entry control point sector. K.C worked as a Primary Security Forces instructor at Ft Wolters Regional Training Center where she was named "Top Instructor" several times and was adored by her students and superiors.
