WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching is a personal session with a trained coach who helps you identify and reach specific objectives to help you improve your life.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COACHING AND COUNSELING?

Counseling is a therapeutic process aimed at addressing emotional, psychological, or behavioral issues. Coaching approaches these issues from a future-oriented and goal-driven perspective. In other words, lets not just identify the issues, let's kick them to the curb so that you can live a happy, fulfilled life.

HOW OFTEN DO COACHING SESSIONS HAPPEN?

We recommend one session every week for a minimum of 12 weeks for best results. You may choose to continue coaching longer than 12 weeks, or you may start with one type of coaching and move on to another type of coaching. We can discuss all this during your intake call. 

IS COACHING CONFIDENTIAL?

Absolutely. We keep all your data confidential, including your session notes. None of your information will be shared outside our organization unless you request it, or if it relates to required reporting of abuse of a minor or elder.

WHAT IF I DECIDE TO QUIT BEFORE 12 WEEKS?

There are no contracts requiring you to complete a full 12 weeks of coaching, it is just what we recommend based on our experience of the transformation process. Your coach can coach you on your objections to continuing coaching if you would like, or you can stop services without coaching. It's totally up to you.

ARE THERE ANY LIMITATIONS OR SITUATIONS WHERE COACHING MIGHT NOT BE EFFECTIVE?

If you are experiencing a mental health break, we recommend seeing a psychiatrist and counselor before beginning coaching. A person with a true mental health disease needs to be properly medicated to begin coaching services. Similarly, if you have just recently left an abusive relationship, we highly recommend attending counseling first. However, we understand that there is a mental health crisis in our country right now. If you have no other access to a psychiatrist, counselor, or mental health care, please go ahead and contact us. We have Certified Mental Health Coaches who can help you get started and guide you to other practitioners if needed.
