Following graduation from high school he enrolled at Concord College in Athens, WV. After three years of attending Concord, he enlisted in the U.S. Army.

David served as an Infantryman at Ft. Benning, GA in the 197th Infantry Brigade. He was Honorably Discharged in 1988 and returned to Mercer County, WV. For two years, he was employed with Volvo-GM in Dublin, VA where he worked as a material expeditor. He graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science. Following graduation, David applied to the West Virginia State Police for a position as a State Trooper.

On April 1, 1990, David was sworn in as a cadet at the WV State Police Academy. Following graduation in November, 1990, he was stationed in Cabell County, WV where he began his law enforcement career. While in Cabell County, he also earned a degree from Marshall University in Applied Police Science. In 1991 David was transferred to Lincoln County WV. He became a lead investigator at the Hamlin Detachment, and personally investigated major crimes, including numerous murders. In 1994 he was nominated as the Trooper of the Year for personally investigating and solving four murders. He remained in Lincoln County until May, 1996, when he applied for Law School admission at Ohio Northern University in Ada, OH.

Giving Back To Our Community

Giving back to our local community is something that is very close to our organization’s core values.

We have been a part of Winfield’s dynamic business community for over a decade and each of our team members believe in helping the neighborhoods around us.

Lisa Moye is the secretary of Putnam County BAR Association. She is also chair of the paralegal department at Ridge Valley Community and Technical College,  teaching the new generation of legal professionals as a professor in law.

As part of our ongoing dedication to our local community, our team actively participates in supporting Winfield High School.

Each year, our team of attorneys come together with the school to create an accurate ‘mock trial’ for students to participate in. It’s a great opportunity for local teenagers to get an insight into how our legal system works, and have fun in the process!
