FAQ

FAQ

  • What will the appointment be like and how long will it take?

    • We will provide 1-on-1 treatment from Dylan Glass, PT, DPT, Cert DN. every visit. Each visit should last about an hour, give or take, depending on your needs. Your first appointment will include a comprehensive evaluation and history, as well as an individualized plan fit for you. Follow up visits will be more treatment focused.

  • What should I wear?

    • Wear something you feel comfortable to move around in and/or exercise in. If coming for running related treatment, please bring your running shoes.

  • Will I need to see a MD first?

    • No you don't need an MD referral! New laws in Alabama will allow full access to PT without the need for a referral. If you got injured today, you can skip navigating doctors and specialists step and come in for promt and immediate treatment.

  • Do you take my insurance?

    • We are an out-of-network provider which means we do not directly bill through insurance. In-network providers bill you a copay and coinsurance upfront and then you get billed on the back end with the deductible.

    • As an out-of-network provider, we will bill you collectively for your visits. We will provide you with documentation and receipt of care that you can submit for reimbursement from your insurance company. Most insurances will reimburse up to 50-90% of the cost of your treatments.

    • This allows us to focus all of our attention on the patient, and perform treatments to focus on patient goals without being dictated by insurance rules and regulations.

  • Can I use my HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account)?

    • Yes! This is your money that you have saved for healthcare expenses and you can use it as you see fit when it comes to healthcare.

  • I don’t consider myself an athlete. Can you still work with me?

    • Yes! If you’re someone who is actively pursuing becoming a more active individual and has goals for becoming your best self, then we would be happy to treat you. That also makes you an athlete.

  • Why cash-based physical therapy?

    • Insurance companies in the US are continually cutting reimbursement rates to providers and trying to dictate how providers can treat patients. With the decrease in reimbursement, many clinics are forced to see more patients in the same amount of time and this often follows with decreased skilled care from providers. We think you deserve the best environment using all of the greatest hits of whats evidence-based in the sports PT world. You get what the pros get.

    • With a cash based practice, we are able to decide how we want to treat patients, as we are not regulated by the insurance companies. This allows us to provide the highest quality care for our patients, while keeping them 100% 1-on-1 with their doctor of physical therapy for the entire hour, every visit.

  • How often will you see me?

    • We typically only need to see our patients once a week, saving you a lot of time and allowing you to keep up with your busy lifestyle. Some cases may need to be more than once a week, depending on the specifics of your injury or rehab process. The plan of care will be discussed on your initial phone consultation and at your first visit.

  • How do I book a consultation phone call?
