Here are three great spots on Brisbane’s northside where your kids can burn energy while you sneak in a quick workout.



Why it’s great:
Huge open space, shaded playground, walking paths, and bits of fitness equipment scattered around.
Quick Parent Workout (15 mins):
4 - 5 Rounds:
20 Alternating Bench Step-ups
10 Push-ups
20 Walking Lunges
20sec Plank
You can see the playground from most spots, so supervision is easy.


Why it’s great:
Big oval, playground, and plenty of space to move without being in the way.
Quick Parent Workout:
4 Rounds (while kids explore)
200m Brisk Walk or Jog around the oval
15 Air Squats
10 Incline Push-ups on a bench
20 Mountain Climbers
If they’re old enough, get them to race you across the grass.

Multiple playground sections, creekside paths, and plenty of trees for shade.

5 Rounds:
20 Walking Lunges
10 Tricep Dips on a bench
20sec Wall Sit (against shelter posts)
10 Burpees
You’ll be puffing… and your kids will still be climbing.
Your kids don’t need to see you in a gym every day.
They need to see you:
Moving.
Trying.
Prioritising your health.
That normalises activity.
