Who Are We

BYOB (Build Your Own Body) Fitness was created to challenge unrealistic fitness standards and help people become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves—not a copy of anyone else.

Founded by Regina Sams, BYOB Fitness is rooted in real-life transformation. Regina began her fitness journey in 2005 while working as a bartender to put herself through college. Surrounded by seemingly “perfect” bodies, she became curious—not intimidated—about what the human body was truly capable of.

In 2013, BYOB Fitness was officially born to emphasize self-love, sustainability, and honoring individual genetics while still pushing for real results.

Today, BYOB Fitness offers one-on-one personal training, small group and virtual sessions, youth strength & conditioning, sports performance, boxing, cardio, strength training, trampoline fitness, yoga, and nutritional guidance. Every program is results-driven yet realistic—designed to fit real lives, busy schedules, and long-term health goals.

Meet Coach Regina 

Coach Regina Sams is the founder and head coach of BYOB (Build Your Own Body) Fitness. Her mission is simple yet powerful: to help people honor the bodies God gave them while becoming stronger—physically, mentally, and spiritually. 

Her fitness journey began in 2005 while working as a bartender to pay her way through college. Surrounded by unrealistic body standards, Regina chose curiosity over comparison. She trained under professional bodybuilders, Olympic lifters, and elite coaches, transforming her own body into a strong, athletic build. But more importantly, she developed discipline, confidence, and a deep respect for the process. 

As her results became visible, women began asking how they could achieve the same transformation. Regina started training family and friends, and through years of coaching, she learned that no two bodies are the same—and that was never God’s mistake. Each body is designed with purpose, potential, and its own path to strength. 

In 2016 Regina founded BYOB Fitness to break toxic fitness ideals and replace them with truth: fitness should build you up, not tear you down. Her coaching style blends results-driven training with accountability, encouragement, and faith. She believes movement is stewardship, discipline is a form of worship, and consistency produces fruit—inside and outside the gym. 

Coach Regina works with clients of all fitness levels, offering personal training, group classes, virtual coaching, youth strength & conditioning, and nutritional guidance. Her approach is rooted in grace, growth, and long-term sustainability—not quick fixes. 

At BYOB Fitness, Coach Regina isn’t just building bodies—she’s helping people walk in confidence, strength, and purpose.
