When a relative passes away, you will need to make an appointment to probate their estate with the County Clerk’s Office. The probate process validates the will of a deceased person by identifying the person’s final assets, paying their last debts and distributing their estate’s property to the proper heirs. If there is no will, you will need to be bonded in order to be appointed executor/executrix of an estate. You may obtain bonding from an insurance agency of your choice.
To open the probate process, you will need to call our office at 304-824-7990 and speak to Tina at Ext 233 or Michelle at Ext 267 to schedule an appointment.
