Governing Authority

This Code of Conduct is issued under and governed by the iNET Alliance Bylaws v1.2 and applies across all iNET Alliance platforms and pillars, including:

  • Network Together

  • iNET Media & Events

  • iNET Publishing House

Applies To:

All members, leaders, volunteers, guests, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, founders, executive leaders (including the Managing Executive), and participants engaged in any iNET Alliance activity, platform, or event, whether in person or online.

Status:

Compliance with this Code of Conduct is a condition of participation. Enforcement actions are administered in alignment with the iNET Alliance Bylaws.

1. Purpose and Intent

The iNET Alliance Code of Conduct exists to protect the integrity, professionalism, safety, and relational culture of iNET Alliance.

iNET Alliance is a values-driven, relationship-centered organization. Every interaction whether in meetings, events, communications, or public representation contributes to the trust, credibility, and sustainability of the community.

2. Scope of Application

This Code of Conduct applies to, but is not limited to:

  • Network Together chapters and online groups

  • Meetings, events, workshops, classes, and retreats

  • iNET Media & Events productions

  • iNET Publishing House activities

  • Organization-managed platforms, communications, and social spaces

  • Any setting where affiliation with iNET Alliance is known or implied

Guests are subject to the same standards. Members are accountable for the conduct of any guests they invite.

3. Behavioral Standards

All participants are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, respect, emotional intelligence, personal responsibility, and integrity in communication and action.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination

  • Abusive, threatening, or disruptive behavior

  • Persistent negativity, manipulation, or boundary violations

  • Misrepresentation of authority, role, or endorsement

  • Disrespect toward members, leaders, guests, or iNET Alliance

  • Actions that undermine trust, safety, culture, or reputation

  • Retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith

5. Representation and Brand Alignment

Participants may not represent themselves as speaking for, acting on behalf of, or endorsed by iNET Alliance beyond what is expressly authorized.

Use of iNET Alliance’s name, logos, or branding must accurately reflect the individual’s current status and may not imply authority, partnership, or endorsement where none exists.

6. Confidentiality and Community Safety

Participants must respect the confidentiality of private conversations, shared experiences, and sensitive information disclosed within iNET Alliance spaces.

Information shared in confidence may not be used for personal, commercial, or reputational gain.

7. Reporting Concerns

Concerns regarding conduct inconsistent with this Code may be reported confidentially to the iNET Alliance Member Services Team or designated executive authority.

Reports are reviewed promptly, handled discreetly, and evaluated based on severity, frequency, impact, and risk.

Retaliation against any individual who raises a concern in good faith constitutes a serious violation of this Code and may result in immediate removal.

8. Accountability, Enforcement, and Resolution

This Code of Conduct applies equally to all participants, including members, leadership team members, volunteers, speakers, founders, and executive leaders, including the Managing Executive when applicable.

No role, title, tenure, or ownership status exempts an individual from compliance.

8.1 Enforcement Ladder

Based on the nature and circumstances of the violation, iNET Alliance may take one or more of the following actions. Progressive enforcement may be used but is not required.

Level 1 - Verbal Warning

  • Informal conversation outlining the concern

  • Clarification of expectations and required correction

  • Internal documentation may occur

Level 2 - Written Notice

  • Formal written notice of the violation

  • Clear expectations for corrective action

  • Notice that further violations may result in suspension or removal

Level 3 - Removal or Termination

  • Immediate removal from a leadership role, meeting, event, or platform

  • Suspension or termination of membership

  • Permanent exclusion from participation

Certain conduct, including harassment, threats, safety violations, or legal risk, may result in immediate removal without prior warning.

INET Alliance reserves the right to bypass any step in the enforcement ladder and proceed directly to removal or termination where immediate action is warranted.

8.2 Final Authority

All enforcement decisions are made at the sole discretion of iNET Alliance in alignment with its Bylaws, mission, and community standards.

Decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

8.3 Financial and Contractual Obligations

Enforcement actions under this Code of Conduct are independent of any financial obligations or contractual commitments, which remain in effect as outlined in the iNET Alliance Bylaws.

Suspension, removal, or termination does not relieve any individual or entity of outstanding payment obligations, membership commitments, or contractual responsibilities.

9. Acknowledgement and Acceptance

Participation in any iNET Alliance–governed activity constitutes acknowledgment of and agreement to comply with this Code of Conduct.

Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, up to and including permanent exclusion from participation.
