From Engineers to Business Owners

How Coaching Took Us from £120k to Nearly £1M in Just 12 Months.

We started our company and soon realised we were great Heating Engineers but knew very little about being business owners. Installing boilers & plumbing bathrooms was second nature but generating enquiries (marketing), converting those enquiries to clients (sales), ensuring we were correctly charging and managing our cashflow (finance). The end of the first year saw a total turnover of £120k and we were drawing less than when we were employed. We knew something had to change.

We met with Paul and instantly jelled. Meeting weekly, we worked on all aspects of our business. I’m not saying the early days were easy and often remember feeling my brain was fried by the end of the session but each week we took something away from the coaching session and put it to work. Both my business partner and I grew over the 12 months we worked with Paul and now feel far more rounded. We are now most definitely business owners not heating engineers.

That 12 month period we were coached saw us go from £120k turnover to close to the £1m threshold, the team grew, administration was outsourced and we went from a home office to a purpose built premises.
