Dr. Andrew Betaharon

Dr. Andrew Betaharon, DDS, brings a unique blend of analytical expertise and a genuine passion for patient care to his practice. A Maryland native, he initially began a career as a technology consultant before seeking a more fulfilling path where he could work directly with people and have a tangible, positive impact on their lives. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, followed by a rigorous general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Long Beach, CA, where he provided comprehensive dental care to our nation’s veterans.

Dr. Betaharon is committed to ensuring patient comfort and utilizing advanced solutions, holding certifications in both Invisalign and conscious sedation (DOCS). He has been providing healthy, happy smiles to the Southern Maryland community since 2011. After completing his residency, he and his wife returned to Maryland to be closer to their families. Today, they are raising their four children, and Dr. Betaharon enjoys spending his time outside the office playing, helping with homework, and enjoying the outdoors with his family.

What To Expect

Your First Visit

When you arrive in our La Plata dentistry practice, you’ll be greeted warmly by a member of our friendly dental team. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you have at this time, and if you haven’t already completed your new patient forms prior to arriving in our office, we’ll be happy to help you complete these. Next, we’ll show you around our high tech dental office, explain some of our advanced technologies, and introduce you to team members who aren’t hard at work caring for other patients. We capture diagnostic x-rays and photos that will be used in conjunction with visual and manual dental examination to allow the dentist to accurately diagnose areas of concern. If you’re here for preventive care, we might recommend a cleaning (dental prophylaxis) and a hygienist will gently remove plaque and tartar buildup leaving you with a clean, healthy smile. Finally, you’ll sit down one on one with a dentist to discuss any concerns about your oral health. We’ll partner with you to create a personalized plan for ongoing oral health and hygiene.
