Prophetess is the Owner and Chief Financial Officer at Sound Profits, Inc., a firm

specializing in tax and financial management for media & entertainment clients. She has

owned and operated the firm for over 20 years. Previously she served as CFO at

SodexoMagic, a joint venture owned by Earvin “Magic” Johnson. She started her career

in commercial banking and spent several years in financial services, investment

management and sales. Throughout her career, she has operated her own tax &

financial planning practice focusing on individual and business taxation and accounting

for small business and aspiring entrepreneurs. She earned a Bachelor Degree in

Business Administration from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She then

went on to obtain certifications in personal financial planning, investment sales, estate

planning, accounting, and project management. After working in commercial banking

and investment sales, she earned a Master’s in Business Administration in Finance and

another Master’s in Business Taxation both from the University of Southern California

(USC). Prophetess is passionate about serving the community and has served in

various leadership & volunteer roles supporting United Way, Alpha Kappa Alpha, USC

& UCLA Black Alumni, and various corporate foundations. In her spare time, she enjoys

traveling and spending time with her 3 children. Her life motto is “Money chases me

because I chase God”.
