Stand As One, Founder
Our founder has been instrumental in undertaking outreach work through places of worship and local community links, amassing people to collect plastics refuse, which was then delivered to the Recycling Dumps. We have created water channels to protect people's houses from landslides caused by flooding, allowing food to be successfully grown in these areas. Through outreach in the Kinama Gasorwe Refugee Camp in Muyinga Province/Burundi, we developed a group to help elderly people who were unable to access water due to the steep hill. We have also secured land and built accommodation for single elderly people and street children, all victims of flooding and resulting loss of homes due to rising lake levels.

We believe that by educating the youth and raising awareness, we can create a ripple effect that leads to lasting, positive change.

Our goal is to equip the next generation with the tools and understanding necessary to address these challenges head-on. Our Impact
In Bujumbura, Burundi, our education program on climate change and environmental crisis has made significant strides. We have reached out to schools and community centers, providing workshops and seminars that educate the youth about the importance of environmental conservation. Our efforts have sparked a newfound awareness and enthusiasm among the young generation to take action and protect their environment.
One of the major challenges we face is the lack of information about climate change and the necessary resources to combat it.
