Job Description- Anchor Coach

Parent Engagement- (Competency needed: People Skills)

This category is intended to evaluate the coach's ability to create connections with the true client and

the parent. This can be done through texts, afterclass conversations, letters, emails, or any form of

communication. Ultimately the parent should receive feedback and have open

communication with/from their child's coach(es)

Presentation in Class- (Competency needed: Pride in Work, Ability to handle Constructive Criticism, Attention

to Detail)

This category is an evaluation of the Coach's "Presentation" in class. Are they energetic? Do they excite kids?

Are kids learning? Does the coach sit? Do classes begin and end on time? Do they use cellphones for

purposes other than class? Overall, their class should feel buzzing, fun, purposeful and staff

should feel like they want to take their classes. Having off days is understandable, but never the standard.

Cleaning-(Competency needed: Pride in Work, Ability to handle Constructive Criticism, Attention to Detail)

This category is an evaluation of the coach's cleaning, quite simply they are communicating with the Front Desk about what cleaning is completed, and following assigned cleaning schedule/duties. If cleaning

duties are completed but not done to the satisfaction of the director, then duties are not done.

Sport Knowledge/Safety Practices (Competency needed: Willingness to Always Learn, Attention to Detail)

This category is an evaluation of the coach's knowledge of the sport. Does the coach know proper

progressions and regressions of the movement. Does the coach demonstrate proper safety/matting

understanding for classes? Does the coach know what to do in case of injury? Does the coach demonstrate

ability in class to accommodate the skill requested to something that the athletes can accomplish? Does the

coach seek to know more about their sport? Could the coach create a class layout on their own? This level of

knowledge is evaluated relative to coach’s assigned classes.

Professionalism (Competency needed: Time Management, Attention to Detail, Respect for Others)

This category is an evaluation of the coach's overall level of Professionalism. Coaches should be able

to arrive on time (15 mins before their first class), always communicate when they are unable to make it,

provide coverage for classes when they are not going to be there, shows up with a Good attitude, show up in proper uniform, working all your assigned classes, lead by example to flex coaches, use proper assigned

company software for assigned purposes, correctly log work hours, and overall demonstrate respect of peers and clientele.

All staff is background checked and certified in both CPR and First Aid

* Background Check Required

* Able to work a majority of evenings and some weekends

*CPR and First Aid certified (must complete within 30 days of hiring date)
