Better Steps Life Skills Center provides Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)–authorized services that support individuals with disabilities in developing essential life skills, preparing for employment, and increasing independence. Supported Employment provides individualized assistance to help participants secure and maintain competitive employment. Services include job coaching, skill development, workplace accommodations, and ongoing support tailored to each person’s strengths and goals. The focus is on long-term success, independence, and job retention.

On-the-Job Training offers hands-on learning in real work environments where participants develop job-specific skills while employed. Support is provided directly at the worksite to help individuals learn tasks, adapt to expectations, and build confidence. This service bridges training with real employment experience.

Pre-Placement Training prepares participants for entering the workforce by building foundational employment skills. This service focuses on task readiness, workplace behavior, communication, and understanding employer expectations. Participants gain confidence and readiness before moving into job placement.

Work-Based Learning Experiences provide supervised, real-world opportunities to explore careers and workplace environments.
