7 PEOPLE WE CAN’T WAIT TO

LEARN FROM AT INMAN

CONNECT LAS VEGAS

JULY 20, 2019

Inman conferences never disappoint, especially when it comes to the guest list. After a massively

successful event in New York this January (read more about CEO Malte Kramer’s experience here), we

couldn’t be more excited to hear from even more real estate leaders while soaking in the Las Vegas sun.

From founders of some of the most revolutionary companies to bestselling authors, here are seven people

we can’t wait to learn from this week at the Aria Resort.

Mike Delprete

You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who writes about the future of real estate more comprehensively than Mike Delprete. A global real estate tech specialist, Deprete’s white pages on topics ranging from analyses of real estate portals to the iBuyer business model are premier resources for anyone in the real estate marketing sphere. Along with his technological expertise, Delprete brings a passion for growing businesses, making him an excellent consultant for a range of companies, regardless of level or operation. We’re excited to hear what he thinks about online real estate transactions during his “iBuying on Fire, Coming to a Neighborhood Near You Soon” speech at 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday the 24th.

Glenn Kelman

Redfin has become an online real estate staple and surpassed the billion-dollar mark under the leadership of Glenn Kelman. Having started as the company’s CEO in 2006, Kelman has been the man behind numerous prestigious accolades, including Inman’s own Innovator of the Year award in both 2006 and 2013. With the recent news that Redfin plans to unveil a new iBuyer system, we’re excited to gain Kelman’s insight on the decision as well as other future plans for the conglomerate. He will also speak on what agents think of work-life balance, general career satisfaction, and how accepting the industry is for minorities on “The Changing Life of a Real Estate Agent” panel at 10:05 on Wednesday the 24th.

Eric Wu

Formerly the head of geo/social products at Trulia, Eric Wu currently serves as the co-founder and CEO of tech company Opendoor—which recently partnered with Kelman and Redfin in order to pioneer a simpler online process for real estate transactions. Both an entrepreneur and product builder, we are excited to hear Wu’s unique perspective on how to make the home buying and selling processes more manageable from both a business and engineering standpoint at the “Making Things Simple for Buyers and Sellers” interview at 10:35 a.m. on Wednesday the 24th.

Rich Barton

From Expedia to Glassdoor, Rich Barton has advised a plethora of successful companies, acting as an integral part of their growth. One such company is Zillow, which he co-founded in 2005 and of which he currently serves as CEO and executive chairman. Zillow is a household name (no pun intended) in the real estate tech sphere, gaining the trust and respect of its clients. There’s no doubt Barton will offer valuable advice during the “Consumer Promise” session at 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday the 24th.

Robert Reffkin

When it comes to passionate and inspirational sessions, Robert Reffkin never disappoints. The co-founder and CEO of Compass, Reffkin is a true pioneer. Beyond his impressive skill set and expertise, his focus on philanthropy and giving back through his business ventures is a breath of fresh air. Not only will he be advising on where certain platform types can fit in the current landscape during the “Can Your Technology Compete?” panel at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday the 25th, but he’ll also be doing a meet and greet at 8:00 a.m. to offer more personalized guidance.

Molly Bloom

One of the most buzzed-about attendees at Inman Connect will undoubtedly be Molly Bloom. An entrepreneur and keynote speaker, Bloom is arguably best-known for penning her memoir, Molly’s Game, which was adapted into a movie by Aaron Sorkin and featured Jessica Chastain as Bloom. The book chronicles her journey to eventually running one of the most notorious high-stakes poker games in the world, attended by names like Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck. Bloom will speak more in-depth about her life and experience during the “Make Every Customer Feel Like a High-Roller” session on Wednesday the 24th at 9:40 a.m.
