Let me tell you my story...

I’m Ally, founder of Allaura Academy. Nails have been my world for over a decade, but it wasn’t always this way... I started out where you are right now, stuck in a job that drained the absolute life out of me, dreading getting up for work every day, surrounded by people who didn’t align with me, and knowing deep down I was made for more.

When I decided to change my story and back myself, everything changed. I built my own salon from scratch, grew it into a six-figure business, and eventually opened Allaura Academy to give others the same chance to change their lives.

I know what it takes to go from feeling unfulfilled in a job to creating a career that gives you freedom, creativity, and security. That’s why this academy isn’t about shortcuts or quick fixes. The complete Builder gel course

I created Builder Boss specifically for complete beginners. It’s built from over a decade in the industry, not just formal qualifications, but real experience behind the desk. This course is about building confident nail technicians with real knowledge, strong foundations, and standards that attract premium clients.

How it works

You’ll receive six months of access to the online learning platform. This is where your foundations are built. You’ll work through full length tutorials, guided lessons, and in depth theory, alongside ongoing mentorship and weekly check ins. This is where I monitor your progress closely, guide you in real time, and make sure you’re not repeating the same mistakes I made early in my career.

Once the core nail health and theory modules are complete, you’ll join me for two full days of in person training. These days are where the technical skills come in. We cover safe removal and intentional prep, correct product application across all nail types, building structure that supports each shape, and advanced troubleshooting so you know how to assess, adjust, and problem solve confidently behind the desk.

Inside the Online Platform you will cover:

• Nail anatomy and structure
• Skin and cuticle types
• Nail conditions and infections
• Safe prep and nail plate work
• Health, medications and environmental factors
• Contraindications and client safety
• Product chemistry, including pH, bonding agents and ingredients

This format gives you the time and space to truly understand what you are doing, not just memorise steps. By the time you step into the salon, you will be informed, prepared, and ready to focus on technique.

Face to face training is focused on:

• Confident, controlled use of the e file and cuticle nippers
• Preparing the natural nail plate with precision
• Performing Russian and e file manicures
• Working confidently with different builder gel viscosities
• Floating and structuring product for strength, balance, and longevity
• Shaping and debulking with intention and control
• Repairing and rebuilding nails

You will also complete a full set on a real client, giving us the opportunity to troubleshoot, refine your approach, and work through real-world scenarios together.

How long is the Builder Boss program?

The in-person training is 2 full days. You will also gain access to the online learning platform for 6 months after your in person training days, where you can continue building your knowledge, revisit lessons anytime, and work through the full theory modules that support your practical training.

Is this course suitable for absolute beginners?

YESSS, Builder Boss is made for complete beginners. You don’t need any prior experience. We start from the beginning and give you everything you need to become a confident, knowledgeable nail technician.

Do you offer payment plans?

Will I be certified at the end?

Yes! Once you complete the course, you’ll graduate with an Allaura Academy Certificate of Completion. Where does the in-person training take place?

Training is held in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Once enrolled, you’ll receive all the location and scheduling details so you can plan ahead with confidence.
