Dr. Scott Stoll is a board certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He formally served as the Medical Director for the Back and Neck Center at Coordinated Health, Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Team Physician for Lehigh University. His practice specialized in treating musculoskeletal injuries through regenerative therapies and improving health through nutritional excellence. During his collegiate years at Colorado State University, Dr. Stoll was an All-Conference track and field athlete and graduated with honors in Nutritional Sciences. He was selected to participate as a member of the 1993 World Cup Bobsled Team and eventually earned a spot on the 1994 United States Olympic Bobsled Team at the Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway. After his Olympic career, Dr. Stoll began his medical career at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and established himself as an exemplary student leader in various volunteer capacities such as: Camp Quality for children with cancer, Children’s Legacy (a non-profit organization for children with cancer) and served as the President of Christian Health Fellowship. During this time, he received the prestigious Richard Hardin Award, “For the medical student who most represents the qualities to which all physicians should aspire: love, compassion, integrity and responsibility to patients, colleagues and self.” After completion of medical school, he commenced a specialty residency at the University of Colorado in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He was once again recognized for his excellence in the area of patient care and was awarded the Dr. Ann Yee Johnson Memorial Award, “For the resident who exemplified the qualities of thoroughness, motivation, caring, compassion, efficiency, and professionalism.” At the conclusion of Dr. Stoll’s residency, he was selected to be a torchbearer for the 2002 Winter Games held in Salt Lake City, Utah. At present, Dr. Stoll is the Chief Medical Officer and Board Chairman of The Plantrician Project and a busy speaker and author. As a former Olympian, Dr. Stoll is well suited for his additional roles as Team Physician for the United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation, an advising physician for professional and Olympic athletes and a consultant for professional sports teams. Dr. Stoll and his wife, Kristen, reside in Pennsylvania with their four sons and two daughters where they are actively involved in their church and mission organizations.
With attention paid to every minute operational detail, Tom has successfully married his business management expertise with his passion for health promotion in his role as president of Total Health Immersions (THI). Using his various skills, Tom positively influences individual clients goals as well as helping THI’s corporate clients clients create a culture of health at some of the nation’s most admired employers. Tom is also the the co-founder of The Plantrician Project and the International Plant-based Nutrition Healthcare Conference and serves on the Board of Directors of The Plantrician Project.
Holding a BA in Management from St. Leo University, where Tom was a pitcher and team captain of the baseball team, he concluded his graduate studies with an MBA from the John F. Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University. Along with his wife, Andrea, and their two children, Tom calls Boynton Beach, FL home, where he spends much of his free time coaching youth sports. He is also an active volunteer with the American Diabetes Association and the Fairfield County Sports Commission.
After losing her dad to cancer in 2008 and then, just ten weeks later, she also receiving a cancer diagnosis, Caryn knew something had to be done. Many attempts at a healthier lifestyle finally led her to a plant-based diet. After studying under Dr. Neal Barnard at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) in 2011 and earning her certificate in plant-based nutrition from Cornell University, she began counseling and teaching others. Caryn began STL Veg Girl traveling all around St. Louis (and eventually nationally!) speaking and presenting on the topic of plant-based cooking and meal prep to prevent and reverse our all too common chronic illnesses. In 2019 she and her Medical Director, Dr. Jim Loomis opened the Center for Plant-based Living to offer support, resources and community to those who are looking to add more plants to their plates.
Lana Karpel is a Registered Nurse and Corporate Health & Wellness Program Coordinator, providing wellness services to corporate groups, private clients and regional Hospitals. Over her years working as a clinical nurse, she has developed a primary interest in the areas of illness prevention and chronic disease management, largely through dietary changes and lifestyle modification. Lana also achieved certifications in Yoga and Tai Chi while emphasizing rehabilitation, wellness and self-empowerment.

JAMES F. LOOMIS, M.D., MBA
James F. Loomis Jr., M.D., M.B.A., received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduated with honors. He subsequently completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. In addition, Dr. Loomis received an M.B.A. from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. He is board certified in internal medicine and has also completed the certification program in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University.
Dr. Loomis has served as Team Internist for the St. Louis Rams football team and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, as well as Tour Physician for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Before being selected to lead the Barnard Medical Center, he practiced internal medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis, where he was also the Director of Prevention and Wellness. He was also on the clinical faculty of the Department of Internal Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Loomis enjoys reading history books, cooking, and teaching plant-based cooking classes. He also enjoys running, biking, and swimming, and has completed numerous half marathons, marathons, and triathlons.
ANDREA DUNNAM
Andréa Dunnam directs events for The Plantrician Project, whose mission is to educate, equip and empower physicians, healthcare practitioners and other influencers with the knowledge about the indisputable benefits of plant-based nutrition. In addition to other responsibilities, Andréa runs the Project’s annual medical conference, The International Plant-Based Nutrition Healthcare Conference, which has brought thousands of like-minded healthcare professionals together over the years..
After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Saint Leo University, Andréa worked in the marketing field, had a career in Education, followed by careers in the non-profit world. She is a plant-based cook and enjoys giving cooking demonstrations using simple recipes for common foods.
In her spare time, Andréa does a tremendous amount of philanthropic work. She has been recognized for her commitment to helping others by The American Diabetes Association, The National Charity League and The State of Connecticut General Assembly for her outstanding service, goodwill, and generosity to the community. Andréa is very involved with her church and is blessed to have a husband and two wonderful children.

Dr. Queler is a board certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician and fellowship trained in non-surgical interventional spine pain management & regenerative procedures. He is licensed in medical acupuncture, is a certified Power Yoga instructor and a facilitator of CHIP (complete health improvement program). He has been practicing Yoga since 1995 and completed the Culinary Rx course. He believes a whole food plant based lifestyle is the portal to actualizing the best version of one’s most authentic self. Dr. Queler aspires to empower patients, families and the community at large to make evidence based behavioral lifestyle choices in order to cultivate wellness, health and vitality.
