First Aid & CPR/AED

The ASHI CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combination training program helps students develop the knowledge, skills and the confidence to respond to a medical emergency. This 4-6 hour class is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

The purpose of the HSI BLS training program is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in high quality CPR skills and teamwork for the adult, child, and infant.

Intended audience

• Healthcare providers (in and out of hospital) • Public safety professionals in a variety of occupational settings • Individuals enrolled in healthcare and public safety career training programs

Student certification requirements

Successful completion of the 21-question BLS written exam • Demonstrate skill competency as indicated by the skill criteria on the “Adult BLS” and “Infant BLS” Performance Evaluation Sheets

Are you a recognized First Aid/CPR provider?

Our CPR & First Aid Training is registered with the National Resuscitation Council of Jamaica. First Response CPR & First Aid Training offers American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) training programs through Health and Safety Institute (HSI). HSI, the American Heart Association®, Inc. (AHA), and the American National Red Cross (ARC) are the largest providers of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid training in the United States. HSI training programs are equivalent to the training programs developed and administered by the AHA and the ARC. HSI’s emergency care training programs and brands are currently accepted, approved, or recognized as an industry credential meeting the requirements of thousands of US state (and Jamaican) regulatory agencies, occupational licensing boards, national associations, commissions, and councils in hundreds of occupations and professions.

What is the cost? Do you offer group rates?

Yes. Please call for group pricing. Group pricing begins at a minimum of 10 persons.

What is the length/duration of the training? How long is the class?

Classes last as little as 2 1/2 - 7 hrs, depending on the type of class, number of participants, and approach (Blended, Classroom, Initial, Renewal).

How long does the certification lasts?

The certification is renewable every 2 years.

Where are you located?

Our training center is located at 105k Red Hills Road, Shop#7, Kingston 19. We also offer training at your site for your convenience.
