Job Summary:
Medical Billing Coordinators are an essential part of protecting a company's revenue. They are responsible for ensuring that accounts are accurate and that profits are consistent. They are also responsible for handling the clerical duties related to processing medical claims. They ensure that the company's clients are charged correctly by keeping accurate records of all bills and payments.
Job Duties:
Partner with medical staff to ensure accurate billing and coding for products and services
Find and correct payment inconsistencies and errors.
Reviewing patient medical records to ensure that all transactions have been entered correctly and identifying errors.
Partnering with external billing partner and internal medical team to ensure a smooth and accurate billing process.
Assisting medical staff with insurance verification and pre-authorization.
Responsible for all aspects of maintaining eClinicalWorks.
Partner with 3rd party company to ensure an efficient and accurate credentialing process.
Perform other duties assigned by direct manager and/or other members of management.
Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in Medical Billing.
Experience working in eClinicalWorks is preferred.
Experience in Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, or Non-Surgical Orthopedics is preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner.
Dependable and reliable with meeting goals, deadlines and other performance expectations.
Strong customer service skills are required.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Proficient in the use of general office equipment.
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a similar field preferred.

Special Requirements:
This position must be willing to occasionally travel between Modoma medical clinics.
