Growing up with parents who were unable to meet our needs—emotionally, physically, or otherwise—leaves an imprint that reaches every part of us, from our physical body to our soul.
Have you tried therapy sessions, self-reflective work, or relationship boundaries with your family members? Do you feel “better than before” but still catch yourself picking at the scabs of these old wounds? Does it seem that even through your successes, the scars feel unshakable, attached somewhere at the very depth of your being?
I know what it’s like to despise Mother’s Day, even after having my own beautiful children. I understand the anxiety wrapped around the deep desire to do things differently for the next generation. I’ve experienced years of no-contact with family members but still felt the weight of the pain. I understand that boundaries bring some sense of peace, yet the void of “what should be” remains.
Pain and anger can fuel positive change, but despite our best efforts, the tears can still come hot and steady. I know what it’s like to understand that I’m worthy of more, but to still connect with the frustration of what’s missing and the underlying fear of abandonment—how it sneaks up in other relationships, even when they’re otherwise healthy.
If so, I can help.
I know you can step out of the shadows and fully into the light.
Because I did it.
Finally.
After years of trying, I finally figured it out.
And you can too.
