Exercise and movement

Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) must proficiently understand basic patient body mechanics and principles of exercise. This includes rehabilitative and restorative care practices. Nurse aides will be trained in how to assist patients during their rehabilitation activities. Examples may include walking with a walker or cane, exercising, or getting into bed.

During training, the CNA will also learn how to properly use a mechanical lift, move a patient safely into bed, and prevent accidents during the patient’s treatment and exercise plan.

A CNA may also be tasked by the professional provider. They could help ensure that a patient’s exercises and routine are monitored and carried out as directed. Plus, CNAs are key partners in helping their clients get exercise, move and transfer around the home, and make it into bed safely.

The school was good as well as the instructor were great. I had a great experience. The school needs to provide parking for students and clinical site was not the best to send students. They also need to fix the heat in the classroom.

I had a great learning experience with Nurse Teel. She was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed every second of the program. Also, before joining the program Nyah helped me with any question I had, she was very informative. The school director Mr. Shay was always helpful, generous and made sure we had what we needed to succeed. The best team of people I’ve ever come across. I’m glad I chose to learn the in’s and out’s of becoming a CNA through Carebridge Academy! I recommend this program 100% to anyone. :)

Great school, love the experience and how professional they are. Ms Teel is an excellent teacher and I really learned a lot about being an NA. You don't just learn from the book but also it's hands-on which I love. Also Ms. Liza was a wonderful clinical instructor. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to become an NA.
