Baptism Class

Baptism is a beautiful outward declaration of an inward change. Our comprehensive Baptism Class prepares you for this important step by teaching you what it means to follow Christ fully and live as His disciple.

Understanding Baptism

Baptism is more than a ritual it's a powerful symbol of your transformation and commitment to following Jesus Christ.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

2 Corinthians 5:17

Baptism is your public testimony that you have died to your old life of sin and have been raised to new life in Christ. It's a celebration of God's grace and your commitment to follow Him.

Death to Sin

Going under the water symbolizes dying to your old sinful life and being buried with Christ. Your past is forgiven and forgotten.

New Life in Christ

Coming up from the water represents your resurrection to new life in Christ. You are now a new creation with a fresh start.

Public Declaration

Baptism is your public testimony of faith in Jesus Christ, declaring to the world that you belong to Him.

What is baptism?

Baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes being washed clean of sin, dying to your old life, and rising to a new life in Christ.

Who can be baptized?

Anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is eligible for baptism. We encourage all believers, whether new to the faith or long-time followers, to take this important step.

What should I wear?

We provide baptismal robes. Bring a change of clothes and a towel. Dark colored clothing underneath is recommended.

Can my family watch?

Baptism is a celebration for the whole church family. We encourage family and friends to attend and celebrate with you.

What if I'm nervous?

It's completely normal to feel nervous. Our pastors will guide you through everything, and you'll have practiced during class.

How old do I need to be to get baptized?

We baptize both youth and adults who can clearly express their personal decision to follow Jesus. For children, we encourage parents to ensure their child fully understands what baptism means.

Can I be baptized if I was baptized as a baby?

Yes! Biblical baptism is for believers who can make their own decision to follow Christ. We practice believer's baptism by immersion.

What happens during the baptism service?

You’ll share your testimony, and then a pastor or leader will baptize you usually by full immersion in water while declaring your faith in Jesus Christ.

Do I need to be a member of this church to be baptized here?

No. While we encourage membership, baptism is open to all believers who desire to take this step of faith.

What should I bring to the baptism service?

Bring a change of clothes, a towel, and anything else you may need after baptism. Specific instructions will be provided during the class.
