Belong. Participate. Connect.
Families, friends, and coworkers who want communication to feel more natural and shared
Organizations and institutions committed to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing accessibility
Partners and investors who believe inclusion should be intentional, not reactive
Shaping Communication, Restoring Dignity.

Unmute exists to remove the invisible walls that make everyday life exhausting.
It gives Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people the freedom to walk into conversations, public spaces, workplaces, and unfamiliar environments without fear of missing something important — or being misunderstood.
Not permission.
Not accommodation.
Freedom.
Freedom to participate, to respond, to engage — on your own terms.

Life isn’t just about what is said — it’s about how it’s said.
Unmute goes beyond basic captions to help users understand tone, intent, urgency, and emotion, so conversations feel human again, not transactional or confusing.
No more guessing if someone is joking.
No more wondering if something is serious.
No more second-guessing yourself.
Just clarity.

Too many Deaf people are taught to shrink themselves — to avoid speaking up, to avoid asking for repeats, to avoid “being a burden.”
Unmute is built to restore confidence.
Confidence to respond naturally.
Confidence to move through the world without apologizing.
Confidence that you are not “behind” — you are informed.
This is about dignity, not dependency.

Safety should never depend on luck.
Unmute increases awareness of the world around you — alerts, alarms, names being called, urgent situations — and presents that information in a way you control.
Not overwhelming.
Not noisy.
Prioritized. Personalized. Intentional.
Because awareness isn’t just about safety — it’s about peace of mind.

There is no single Deaf experience.
No single preference.
No single way to communicate.
Unmute is designed to adapt to you, not force you into someone else’s version of accessibility.
Your pace.
Your style.
Your comfort.
Technology should respect identity — not erase it.

Unmute is not just an app for one person — it’s a bridge.
It creates smoother, more natural interactions between Deaf and hearing people without putting all the effort on the Deaf user.
Family. Friends. Coworkers. Strangers.
Communication becomes shared responsibility — not a one-sided struggle.
That’s how isolation ends: not by fixing people, but by fixing systems.

Unmute is being built with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing voices at the center — not as an afterthought.
Early access.
Beta participation.
Real feedback shaping real decisions.
This isn’t just a product launch.
It’s the beginning of a platform designed to grow alongside the people it serves.
Because true inclusion doesn’t happen to a community — it happens with them.

Shaping Communication, Restoring Dignity.

Removing invisible barriers so Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals can engage freely in conversations, workplaces, public spaces, and family life.

Supporting comprehension of tone, context, and intent, so interactions feel human, not transactional — whether in a meeting, classroom, or casual conversation.

Restoring dignity and self-assurance, empowering people to respond naturally without hesitation, from social gatherings to professional spaces.

Prioritizing environmental and situational awareness — alerts, alarms, or names called — presented safely, calmly, and on the user's terms.

Adapting to individual preferences, styles, and comfort, because no two Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing experiences are the same — whether at home, work, or in public spaces.

Creating smoother, shared interactions between Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and hearing individuals — ending isolation through shared responsibility.

Co-created with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing voices, incorporating early feedback, real participation, and ongoing growth — ensuring the platform evolves with the community.

Restoring Balance. Sharing Communication, Together.
A Philosophy Built Around People, Not Features

Thank you for being early.
Thank you for being curious.
Thank you for helping us build something that truly matters.
Unmute exists because communication should never feel like a burden.
We didn’t set out to build technology for its own sake. We set out to build something that could make everyday life feel more accessible, more human, and more shared.
For one of us, this journey is deeply personal — growing up translating for a Deaf mother and aunt, carrying responsibility early, and seeing firsthand how much effort it takes just to be included. For the other, it comes from years of close friendship, family, and a simple but persistent question: why does communication still have to be this hard?

A new future for communication is on its way.
Be part of the early community shaping what comes next.
Be Part of the Change. Share Life More Fully.

UnMute is a Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing communication support platform designed to help people better understand conversations, environments, and context. It is built first for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community, and also supports families, organizations, and partners who care about accessible communication.
UnMute was born from lived experience — growing up translating for Deaf family members and witnessing the emotional cost of inaccessible communication. It exists to shift the burden of access away from individuals and toward shared systems.
UnMute focuses on clarity, awareness, and participation in everyday life. Rather than relying on a single tool or feature, it takes a holistic approach to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing accessibility that respects identity, preferences, and dignity.
UnMute is currently in active development and is expected to launch in 2026.
