My partner and I are of a different faith so finding someone that would honor that and help us navigate that was important to us. Meb provided examples of readings/prayers/stories/vows to get an idea of what we could use. She also sent us questions separately and then used that information to customize our ceremony. Meb has so many other added personal touches that made us so confident in choosing her. She has such a calming presence that were very welcoming at the reception and day of wedding! We had several guests compliment her presentation and were impressed with how the ceremony flowed. She is a true professional...no need to worry if she steps out of the photo for the first kiss or how to hold hands or your bouquet during the dip :) We found Meb via the "Preferred Vendors" at our venue. "We had planned a “micro wedding” in Hocking Hills, OH. Since this was 3 hours away from our home, most of our wedding planning was done based on social media. I found Wows and Vows listed under wedding officiants and sent them a message. I received a message back the same day from Grace Gerber and instantly booked with them. With only one phone call and a few emails back and forth, she put together a wedding ceremony that fit our blended family to a tee. It seemed as if the words spoke straight to our family as if she had known us for years. I can’t thank Grace enough for making our wedding day so special!"

Amy coordinated our ceremony to perfection and did such a good job, people asked how long we had known her for, assuming she was a longtime family friend!! Our ceremony was perfectly us - it told our love story with tears, laughter, and so much joy. The long version: my husband and I had no clue where to start when looking for an officiant. We wanted someone who could coordinate the ceremony, made the process easy, and aligns with our progressive views (LGBTQ+ rights, for example). Amy M. was all of this and more. She made planning so easy! She asked if we wanted the ceremony religious, if we wanted to do our own vows, who we wanted in the ceremony, etc. She even mentioned a Celtic hand-fasting ceremony after learning of our trip to Ireland, and we ended up doing one! It was such a special moment. We decided to do our own vows and repeat traditional vows, something we didn’t even know was an option. At the rehearsal, Amy navigated family dynamics, older relatives with mobility and hearing issues, and our stage fright with ease. She worked well with our other vendors, like our venue-provided coordinator and our dj on microphone set up. She made us feel so at ease! At the ceremony, Amy was a rockstar! She helped with last minute nerves and an issue with my mom’s dress that I only found out about weeks later! As for the ceremony itself, it was PERFECT! It was sentimental, goofy, loving, and full of happy tears. My favorite moment was when Amy finished my husbands vows, and tried to start mine. I misheard “I, Sophia” as “Hi Sophia”, cheerfully said “Hi!” And stared at her for seconds until realizing my mistake. The ensuing laughter washed away all my nerves and made for a memory I will never forget. We cannot recommend Amy at Wows and Vows enough!!!! Thank you for everything!
