Supporting Children from Birth Through Graduation

DSABV is committed to guiding families through every stage of early childhood and school-age education. From birth to graduation, we provide resources, mentorship, and advocacy to ensure children with Down syndrome thrive academically, socially, and developmentally.

Therapy Providers (Speech, Occupational, Physical)

01. Brazos Valley Early Childhood Intervention (ECI)

Serving children ages birth to 3 years

ECI is a statewide program in Texas that provides support for infants and toddlers with

developmental delays or disabilities—including Down syndrome.

  • Speech, occupational, and physical therapy

  • Developmental support and early learning strategies

  • In-home or daycare-based services

  • Family coaching and support

Why it matters:

Early intervention is key. ECI helps build strong developmental foundations during the most

critical years of brain development.

How to get started:

Families can self-refer—no doctor referral needed.

02. Transition from ECI to School (Age 3+)

As children turn 3, services transition from ECI into the public school system through special

education programs.

DSABV helps families navigate this transition with guidance, resources, and community support.
