Self Advocate for 2026

Sara Siegert

My name is Sara Siegert, and I am honored to serve as the DSABV Self-Advocate for 2026. I am 30 years old and have been part of the Down Syndrome Association of Brazos Valley for over 20 years. DSABV has been an important part of my life, giving me the opportunity to meet friends, have fun, and be part of a supportive community.

I work at Armstrong McCall in Bryan and enjoy hobbies like dancing, baking, coloring, puzzles, watching TV, and playing baseball and Special Olympics sports. My favorite DSABV activities include spending time with friends, playing games, and attending adult respite nights.

DSABV is a place where everyone is welcomed, supported, and celebrated. I am excited to serve as Self-Advocate this year and look forward to helping, connecting with others, and making a difference in our community.
