This Is Not A Course.
It's An Application To Help Reshape How We Work With Young People.
CounterPunch is looking for a small number of people who want to deliver a proven model in their communities, not follow a curriculum, but run a program that actually changes lives.
Applications reviewed individually. Not everyone is accepted.
"The system sends well-meaning people into hard rooms with no structure, no support, and no way to measure whether anything is working."

They're handed a room, a group of disengaged teenagers, and told to "make it work." There's no structured program, just good intentions and improvisation.

No peer network. No community of practice. When it gets hard, and it always gets hard, there's nobody to call. Most quit within a year.

Counselling and group therapy assume young people will open up on demand. Most won't. The teens who need the most help are the ones who shut it down fastest.

Courses end. You get a certificate. Then nothing. No implementation support, no ongoing supervision, no place to belong. The learning evaporates.
CounterPunch is a physical and psychological intervention program for teenagers. You don't design it. You don't reinvent it. You learn to deliver it, then you run it in your community with direct support from the CounterPunch team.

Every session, every drill, every psychological touchpoint. Built and tested over years at Mt Barker.

Boxing and physical challenge create the environment where identity shifts. You facilitate that. You don't counsel it.

We select facilitators deliberately. This protects the model and ensures every CounterPunch program maintains the same standard.

The outcomes are documented. You're not running an experiment, you're delivering something already proven to work.

The Three Pillars
Not a folder of resources. Not a Facebook group. A complete operating system for running CounterPunch in your location, with the people who built it behind you.
The complete facilitator training, how to run every session, manage group dynamics, apply the psychological framework, and deliver physical challenge safely.
Full session-by-session program guide
Facilitator coaching from the
CounterPunch team
Physical curriculum and drill library
Behaviour and engagement protocols
Everything you need to set up and operate a CounterPunch program in your community, including intake, parent communication, measurement, and reporting.
Program intake and consent documentation
Parent communication templates
Outcome measurement framework
School and community partnership materials
You're placed inside a facilitator cluster, a small group of CounterPunch operators who meet regularly, share problems, and build together. You are never alone.
Facilitator cluster placement (peer network)
Regular supervision from senior facilitators
Direct access to the CounterPunch team
Access to future program iterations and updates
Every CounterPunch facilitator is placed inside a small cluster, a group of operators running the same model in different locations. You meet, you debrief, you grow together. This is what makes the model sustainable.

The CounterPunch model is designed to scale, not through franchising, but through a deliberate network of trained, supported facilitators who collectively raise the standard for how we work with young people.
Selected facilitators deliver CounterPunch in their town, school, or region, supported by their cluster and the central team.
As clusters mature, they become self-sustaining regional nodes, capable of onboarding and mentoring new facilitators locally, reducing dependency on the central team.
High-performing facilitators earn the opportunity to train others, extending the model into new regions without diluting what makes it work.
A consistent, evidence-based intervention available to young people anywhere in the world, delivered by people who have been properly trained and properly supported.

We are not running an open intake. We are actively looking for a small number of the right people, and we are reviewing applications individually before any place is confirmed.
WHO THIS IS FOR
If any of these descriptions fit you, you should apply. We're looking for people who already operate at a high standard and want a model worthy of their effort.

You're already in the room with young people. You know the system's limitations firsthand. You want a model that actually works, not another piece of paper.

You see the gaps every day. You want to bring something structured, evidence-based, and physical into your school or program, something that reaches the kids nothing else does.

You don't have the background yet, but you have the drive and the willingness to be trained properly. You want to run a program that matters, not just work a job.

application
Submitting this form starts a conversation, not a transaction. We review every application personally and respond within a few days. If there's a fit, we'll talk. If there isn't, we'll tell you honestly.
Facilitator training is delivered directly by the CounterPunch team. It is not self-paced.
Accepted facilitators are placed in a cluster and expected to attend regular group sessions, in person or via Zoom.
You will be expected to deliver the program as designed, not adapt or modify it independently.
Places are limited. Not every applicant will be accepted into the current cohort.

Real change for young people doesn't
come from talking.
It comes from environment.
