ABOUT ALEX

As a High Performance Coach for Men,

I Advocate for Stronger Families by

Empowering Men to Lead

I am a proud father who rose to the challenge of parenthood at a young age. My family is everything to me, and they've been my motivation to succeed through every obstacle I've faced. I don't shy away from struggles or failures because I know they're opportunities for growth and gratitude. In fact, it was through those struggles that I transformed into the man Lisa deserved. Together, we've built a prosperous business and a loving blended family. Now, I’m answering my calling to help men change their lives and find that same success individually, in their careers, and as husbands and fathers. I know firsthand that with the right mindset, strategy, and determination, anything is possible.

Alex Mont-Ros' Story

I was married at age 20 and

was raising children by 23...

I grew up in Las Vegas, NV, and starting at the tender age of 6, my life was thrown into a tailspin when my mother passed away from brain cancer. My siblings and I went through periods of homelessness, but we were blessed to have some amazing people in our lives who took us in. By God’s grace, I didn’t fall into the traps of vices and gang violence that surrounded us in Sin City—unfortunately, some of my siblings went down a different path. I married at age 20 and was raising 5 children by age 23.

I was doing okay financially until I went bankrupt and lost everything at age 28 due to the market crash of 2008. Looking for a change to deal with our losses and marital challenges, my first wife and I packed up and moved to Bellevue, WA. We didn’t know anyone and soon drifted apart from each other and went through a divorce. The pain of divorce was not easy, it impacted my kids and myself and I lost my identity. It was an extremely hard time. But my journey to become a better version of myself was on the horizon. Sometime after my divorce, Lisa and I began dating, and we quickly found that there was a reason God brought us together.

I was doing okay financially, until I went bankrupt at age 28...

I needed to be financially successful. But, I found

myself sacrificing my health and family time.

I knew that to be the father and husband I wanted to be, I needed to be financially successful. So, I spent much of my time working. I was managing a $100 million portfolio for a Fortune 500 company, but I found myself sacrificing my health and family time to be successful.

The unthinkable happened. I suffered a heart attack at age 32. Suddenly, I realized that tomorrow is never promised. So, I stopped settling for being miserable at a job I didn’t love, and Lisa and I launched our own business together. Lisa and I had great success in our business, but stepping back to view my purpose in life, I found that I was destined for more.

Then, the unthinkable

happened...

I found that I was destined

for more. My vision is to

leave a legacy by helping

others find success in every

area of their lives.

I have a vision to leave a legacy, which will come from helping others find their success in every area of their lives, all while spending more time with the people who matter most to me—Lisa our amazing children, and those friends and family I deeply love. After we our first business was acquired, we started a new journey together as founders of Step Up Method.

I Believe…

  • Men don’t have to compromise their families, their health, and their marriages in the pursuit of a career—it is possible to have everything.

  • Nothing in life is guaranteed, so there’s no excuse not to start living with intentionality today.

  • Leading in the home will help you succeed in every other area of your life.

IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO BUILD THE LIFE YOU WANT.

It’s easy to settle into a routine and think you’re doing well enough, but it’s also never too late to break away from the norm and build the life you want. If you simply accept defeat and make excuses, nothing will ever change. I can help you find your path and do more for yourself and your family.
