Our work is practical and community-centered. Throughout the year, the association helps coordinate neighborhood efforts that bring people together and support pride of ownership.
Host neighborhood gatherings and traditions, including the block party
Coordinate the annual neighborhood garage sale (typically in June)
Organize volunteer efforts such as park cleanups and maintaining flower beds
Encourage neighborhood pride through Yard of the Month
Share updates through email newsletters and neighborhood social channels
Maintain connections with City of Fort Wayne departments to share information, attend community meetings, and help secure grants and resources for neighborhood projects.

The association is led by resident volunteers who care about North Highlands and the people who live here.

If you're interested in helping, board roles and volunteer opportunities often begin with a conversation at a neighborhood meeting or a message through the Contact page.

You don't need a title to make a difference. A few hours here and there, showing up to an event, or lending a hand on a volunteer day all add up.
Attend a neighborhood meeting
Volunteer for park cleanups
Help maintain flower beds
Support neighborhood events (setup, cleanup, small tasks)
Share neighborhood history, photos, or clippings for the archive
Pay annual dues
