For the moments when your dog needs more than the usual answers
Beyond the Diagnosis™ is a high-touch care experience for dogs living with chronic or complex conditions. With focused testing and personalized plans, we move quickly to help you understand what's happening, what your dog needs, and how to move forward with confidence.
WHAT IS BEYOND THE DIAGNOSIS™?
Most traditional care stops at the diagnosis. Beyond the Diagnosis™ begins there.
This plan is for dogs facing chronic, complex, or life-altering conditions – when you need not just information, but interpretation, not just treatment, but strategy, and not just hope, but a plan you can trust.
Beyond the Diagnosis™ is where Dr. Pam blends functional medicine, whole-body insight, and years of clinical experience to understand the deeper “why” behind your dog’s condition to build a path that supports stability, comfort, and as many good days as possible.
Here’s how we’ll work together:
The Comprehensive Case Review
The in-clinic Comprehensive Case Review is your starting point. Dr. Pam gathers and reviews everything: medical history, symptoms, behavior patterns, environmental exposures, nutrition, past treatments, and specialist reports.
Then we move immediately to functional testing to understand what’s happening beneath the surface – immune imbalance, inflammation patterns, organ stress, hormone disruptions, or any underlying contributors that may be driving the condition.
This is where we establish your dog’s true baseline, uncover what’s influencing their symptoms, and determine what requires immediate attention.
The Diagnostic Deep Dive
Once test results arrive, Dr. Pam interprets everything through a whole-body, functional lens.
You’ll learn what’s driving the condition, what’s stabilizing, what’s worsening, and what needs support first.
It’s the turning point where overwhelm becomes direction; a focused deep dive that helps identify what’s influencing the condition and how to support stability as quickly as possible.
The Stability Assessment
The goal here is immediate relief and systemic support.
Dr. Pam identifies the most impactful levers – nutrition shifts, supplement support, detox pathways, energy imbalances, organ strain – and outlines what will help your dog feel better, fast.
This phase focuses on stabilizing the system so your dog has the strength and resilience needed for deeper healing work ahead.
The Whole-Body Review
Chronic and complex conditions rarely come from one place.
This phase evaluates the interconnected systems – digestive, immune, hormonal, neurological, energetic – and identifies the patterns shaping your dog’s condition.
This whole-body perspective becomes the foundation of your long-term strategy.
The Clarity Consultation
This is where everything comes together. In a focused consultation, Dr. Pam reviews your dog’s full picture, interprets the findings, and presents a customized care plan with clear steps, recommended therapies, nutritional support, and next-phase priorities.
You'll knowing exactly:
What’s happening
What’s helping
What needs attention
What to do next
No guesswork. No confusion. Just clarity, direction, and a support plan you can trust.
Telehealth Support for the Moments Between Moments
Once your in-person assessment and plan are complete, you’ll have access to focused Telehealth support designed to keep you steady, informed, and never navigating this alone.
Targeted Progress Review
A focused conversation to evaluate how your dog is responding to the plan and what’s shifting so adjustments can be made quickly and intentionally.
Plan Refinements
Dr. Pam fine-tunes supplements, nutrition, detox support, and other recommendations based on real-time needs. No guesswork. No confusion. Just clear next steps.
Symptom Check + Troubleshooting
If new symptoms arise, old symptoms intensify, or something feels “off,” this session creates space to address concerns compassionately and strategically.
Care Coordination
If your dog also has a primary vet or specialist involved, Dr. Pam can outline exactly what information to share and what questions to ask – so every provider is working from the same story.
Why We Use Care Plans
Your pet’s body needs time, consistency, and the right support to actually heal.
That’s why we work in Care Plans rather than single visits. It gives us the structure to track progress, make thoughtful adjustments, and stay connected with you so your pet gets the best possible results.
Our plans also include the communication, the follow-ups, and all the behind-the-scenes attention that most pets need to truly improve.
When we work this way, we see better outcomes, happier pets, and far less guesswork for you.
Please note that Care Plans are paid in full at the time of enrollment and are non-refundable.
This protects the time and clinical resources we reserve for your pet and makes sure we stay fully committed to their care from start to finish.
Most importantly, it helps create the consistency your pet’s healing depends on.

have questions? we have answers.
When your dog is facing something serious, clarity matters. These FAQs break down the details so you know what to expect, how Beyond the Diagnosis™ works, and how we support you every step of the way.
This plan is designed for dogs experiencing ongoing, recurring, or medically complicated issues - things like autoimmune conditions, endocrine disorders, GI disease, mobility challenges, chronic inflammation, organ stress, or situations where you’ve tried multiple treatments without clear improvement. If your dog’s symptoms have a story behind them, this is where we unravel it.
No – Dr. Pam works alongside your existing care team. Your primary vet handles urgent care and conventional treatments; specialists manage advanced diagnostics. Dr. Pam brings the whole-body functional perspective that ties everything together.
That’s exactly why this plan includes targeted Telehealth support. If symptoms shift or new concerns appear, you’ll have a direct line to get clarity on what’s happening and what to do next. You won’t be navigating those moments alone.
Some dogs may – especially if imaging, specialty diagnostics, or advanced procedures are required.
If that’s the case, Dr. Pam will tell you exactly what to request, what to expect, and how to coordinate care with your primary vet or specialist.
Perfect. Dr. Pam often helps clients make sense of everything that’s happening across multiple providers. She’ll help interpret recommendations, connect the dots between systems, and build a supportive plan that complements – not competes with – specialist care.
Most clients complete the primary phases within a few months, but the overall timeline varies depending on your dog’s needs and how complex the case is. Your plan will include clear next steps, pacing, and follow-up recommendations so you always know what’s ahead.
Not at all. It’s also ideal for confusing cases, recurring issues, or situations where you’ve tried “everything” but aren’t getting clear answers. If your dog’s health feels like a puzzle, this is where the pieces start making sense.
Depending on your dog's needs, you may transition into one of our Maintenance Care Plans for ongoing support, or continue with targeted guidance as needed. Either way, you'll leave with clarity on the best long-term path for your dog.
Dr. Pam blends functional medicine, nutrition, supplements, and intuitive insight with conventional veterinary knowledge. This isn’t “natural instead of traditional.” It’s the right tool at the right time for your dog.
Yes – in fact, it’s a core part of the process. Dr. Pam reviews your dog’s full history to understand trends, patterns, and contributing factors that may have been missed before.
The first step of this plan – the Comprehensive Case Review and functional testing – must be done in person with Dr. Pam. Because complex cases often evolve over time, it’s ideal if you live in the Dallas area or can reliably travel here for follow-up visits as needed.
Many parts of the plan can be supported virtually, but hands-on evaluations are an important part of understanding how your dog is responding. For the best care, you’ll need to either be local or able to come to Dallas when in-person assessments are required.
We don't prescribe traditional pharmaceuticals. Our prescriptions are limited to select functional medicine medications – such as fenbendazole and ivermectin - that align with our holistic protocols.
Heartworm prevention prescriptions (sent to Chewy) are available for patients enrolled in our wellness programs who have completed heartworm DNA testing. Cancer protocol prescriptions are filled through a compounding pharmacy.
Our plans reserve time, clinical attention, and ongoing support for your pet throughout the duration of their care. Because holistic medicine works best with consistency and follow-through, Care Plans keep us fully aligned and engaged in your pet’s progress.
We’ve found pets make the biggest improvements when their families commit to the full process, which is why plans are paid in full and non-refundable.
