Give your pup the ultimate head start with the Power to the Puppy™ Plan

Because the best way to treat disease is to never create it

Our Power to the Puppy™ plan is where thriving begins. With real food, smart supplements, and thoughtful prevention, it sets your pup up for a lifetime of vitality, wagging tails, and well-being that lasts long into adulthood.

WHAT IS POWER TO THE PUPPY™?

A foundational wellness experience that sets your puppy up for a lifetime of thriving

The Power to the Puppy™ plan is where holistic veterinary care truly begins for puppies up to two years old.

It's a high-touch, fully personalized experience designed to help your new best friend grow strong, balanced, and healthy from the very start.

Most vets focus on immediate needs – vaccines, growth milestones, and basic care.

Dr. Pam looks deeper. She blends functional medicine, nutrition, and intuition to understand your puppy as a whole system – body, mind, diet, and environment – so you can build lifelong vitality, not just manage short-term health.

Through thoughtful testing, nutritional design, and real-time coaching, you’ll learn how to support your puppy’s immune system, gut health, and emotional balance in ways that prevent problems before they begin.

Here's how we'll work together:

THE FOUNDATION SESSION

Your puppy’s first deep-dive into holistic wellness

An in-clinic experience that goes far beyond a standard exam, Dr. Pam evaluates your puppy’s nutrition, environment, temperament, and early development to identify risk factors and set the foundation for lifelong vitality. This is where she builds the blueprint for your puppy’s personalized wellness plan – informed by functional testing, breed insights, and 30+ years of expertise.

YOUR PERSONALIZED PUPPY PLAN

Your personalized roadmap for your dog’s healthiest first years

After your session, Dr. Pam delivers a custom-written plan that outlines nutrition, supplements, gut support, immune care, and vaccine timing in coordination with your primary vet. It’s the bridge between traditional care and holistic prevention, giving you confidence that every choice is aligned with your dog’s long-term health.

Ongoing telehealth Calls

Stay connected as your puppy grows

Why We Use Care Plans

Holistic care isn’t a one-and-done kind of thing...

Your pet’s body needs time, consistency, and the right support to actually heal.

That’s why we work in Care Plans rather than single visits. It gives us the structure to track progress, make thoughtful adjustments, and stay connected with you so your pet gets the best possible results.

Our plans also include the communication, the follow-ups, and all the behind-the-scenes attention that most pets need to truly improve.

When we work this way, we see better outcomes, happier pets, and far less guesswork for you.

Please note that Care Plans are paid in full at the time of enrollment and are non-refundable.

This protects the time and clinical resources we reserve for your pet and makes sure we stay fully committed to their care from start to finish.

Most importantly, it helps create the consistency your pet’s healing depends on.

Frequently asked questions

Puppies come with a lot of joy…and a lot of questions. We’ve answered the most common ones here to help you understand how the Power to the Puppy™ works, what to expect, and how we make this first year feel easy and supported.

When is the best time to start the Power to the Puppy™?

The sooner, the better! We prefer to start puppies on our protocols before vaccines begin to help maximize immunity and minimize adverse events. These are the most pivotal months of your puppy's development, and we want to support them from the very beginning.

However, we can start anytime during your puppy's first 2 years of life – when the foundation of health is established.

How does this work with my regular veterinarian?

We work with your primary vet, not instead of them. Think of your general practice vet as your first responder - they handle vaccines, emergencies, and immediate needs. Dr. Pam focuses on the bigger picture: nutrition, immune health, gut balance, and prevention. Together, they create a well-rounded circle of care for your puppy.

What makes this different from a regular puppy wellness plan?

Typical wellness plans check boxes – weight, vaccines, deworming. The Power to the Puppy Plan™ looks deeper. Dr. Pam combines nutrition,  fecal testing analysis, and holistic medicine to understand your puppy’s unique needs and build a personalized plan for long-term vitality. It’s proactive, not reactive - the difference between “fine” and thriving.

What happens if the functional lab testing uncovers an issue?

Occasionally, functional testing reveals areas that need closer attention – even in puppies who appear perfectly healthy. If this happens, Dr. Pam will explain what the results mean and map out a clear, compassionate plan for next steps. Some puppies stay on annual wellness maintenance; others move into a different care plan for more focused healing. Either way, you’ll always know exactly where you stand and what to do next.

What if my puppy already had their first vet visit or vaccines?

That's totally fine – we can jump in anytime during your puppy's first two years of life to help set their health trajectory on the right path.

The plan complements your primary vet's early care and helps you make thoughtful decisions about immune support, nutrition, and prevention moving forward. You'll get a clear, coordinated plan so everything works together.

Is this plan only for raw-fed dogs?

Not at all. Dr. Pam meets you where you are and takes your puppy where they need to be. If you're currently feeding processed food, that's okay - but plan on making the shift to whole food nutrition as part of this program.

She'll work with you to find the approach that best fits your puppy's breed, age, and lifestyle – whether that's gently cooked, raw, air-dried, or a hybrid whole food diet.

The goal is supporting you through the transition while giving your puppy the foundation they need to thrive.

How long does the plan last?

The Power to the Puppy Plan™ covers your puppy’s first year. You’ll begin with one in-clinic foundation session, then use your three virtual milestone calls throughout the following 12 months as your puppy grows and develops.

Can multiple dogs share one plan?

Each plan is designed specifically for one dog. Every puppy has their own genetics, temperament, and environment – which means their nutrition and prevention plan is customized too.

If you have more than one puppy, we’ll help you set up an appropriate plan for each so everyone gets the care they need.

Do I have to live in the Dallas area to participate?

Ideally, but it's not necessary. If you're not local and can travel to our Coppell, Texas clinic for the in-person Foundation Session, we can absolutely work together.

That initial exam allows us to continue via telehealth for your scheduled Milestone calls throughout the year – vaccine planning, surgery prep, and growth transitions. But there can be some limitations.

If new health issues arise between our scheduled calls, Dr. Pam's hands-on modalities –and Texas law – require in-person evaluation for accurate assessment and treatment.

She can provide guidance and coaching over the phone, but cannot diagnose or prescribe treatment for conditions she hasn't personally examined.

The scheduled Milestone calls work beautifully remotely, but for comprehensive ongoing care, being local to the Dallas area gives you the full benefit of Dr. Pam's approach

What can and can't you do on a Telehealth call?

Telehealth calls are amazing... but there can be some limitations.

If new health issues arise between our scheduled calls, Dr. Pam's hands-on modalities – and Texas law – require in-person evaluation for accurate assessment and treatment.

While she can provide guidance and coaching over the phone, she can't prescribe treatment for conditions she hasn't personally examined.

You may need to work with a local veterinarian for diagnostics and/or urgent issues that develop.

What happens after the first year?

You’ll have the option to transition into ongoing wellness care with Dr. Pam through the Whole Dog Wellness Plan – her proactive, annual wellness plan for adult dogs. It builds on everything you’ve started here so your dog’s great first year becomes a lifetime of health and balance.

What if I can’t use all my telehealth sessions within 12 months?

The plan is designed to be used within the first year of your puppy’s life to stay aligned with their development and milestones. Unused sessions don’t roll over, so we encourage you to schedule them in advance – it keeps both you and your puppy on track and supported.

What if I need to reschedule or miss an appointment?

Life happens! We just ask for at least 24 business hours' notice so we can adjust your spot and maintain flow for other clients. Missed or last-minute cancellations may be forfeited to protect our limited appointment availability.

For example, to cancel an appointment scheduled for Monday at 9am, we need confirmation by 9am Thursday, since we're not in the office Friday. You'll receive three reminders before each appointment: an email 5 days out, a text 3 days out, and a text the day before - so you'll have plenty of time to make any needed changes.

Do you use natural remedies instead of traditional medicine?

Dr. Pam's approach integrates natural therapeutics with functional medicine and diagnostic science. Rather than conventional pharmaceuticals, she uses herbs, supplements, nutraceuticals, and her specialized treatment modalities to support your puppy's health. When appropriate, she may prescribe select functional medicine medications that align with her holistic approach.

This isn't about rejecting science – it's about using different, more natural tools to achieve deep, lasting health. Every recommendation is thoughtful, evidence-informed, and designed to work with your puppy's body, not against it.

Do you write prescriptions for pharmaceuticals?

We don't prescribe traditional pharmaceuticals. Our prescriptions are limited to select functional medicine medications – such as fenbendazole and ivermectin – that align with our holistic protocols.

Heartworm prevention prescriptions (sent to Chewy) are available for patients enrolled in our wellness programs who have completed heartworm DNA testing. Cancer protocol prescriptions are filled through a compounding pharmacy.

Why are Care Plans non-refundable?

Our plans reserve time, clinical attention, and ongoing support for your pet throughout the duration of their care. Because holistic medicine works best with consistency and follow-through, Care Plans keep us fully aligned and engaged in your pet’s progress.

We’ve found pets make the biggest improvements when their families commit to the full process, which is why plans are paid in full and non-refundable.
