NNMHA and the General Public
As part of our core mission, NNMHA participates in events that allow adults and youngsters to see, pet, and ask questions about horses, mules and donkeys. For many people, especially kids, these events may be the first time someone has ever touched a horse or seen one up close. Do you remember your first time?
Northern New Mexico Horsemen's Association participates to bring horses, mules and donkeys for each of these two weekends for the hundreds of visitors to encounter, ask questions and sometimes share stories of their own.
Santa Fe County Fair
Family Day August
Northern New Mexico Horsemen's Association had volunteers in August 2024 from the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Fe/Del Norte, helping us at the Fair! We welcome our teen volunteers from the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center.
Becoming NNMHA
Today, NNMHA has educational and outreach programs in the form of monthly guest speaker presentations, teaching clinics and demonstrations; an educational scholarship program; recreational activities such as group trail rides; and partners to support other area organizations dedicated to horses and horse activities. We celebrate all types of equines and the people who care about them.
