Dr. Fairbanks In Utah

Dr. Grant A. Fairbanks is a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He completed an internship in El Paso, Texas at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. Thereafter Dr. Fairbanks served as a General Medical Officer in the U.S. Military at Raymond W. Bliss Army Community Hospital at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. His training in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery was completed at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, affiliated with Penn State University. He is a board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

To further his training he accepted a fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Dr. Fairbanks is a past President of the Utah Plastic Surgery Society and the Salt Lake Surgical Society. His professional affiliations also include the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, and the International Society for Auricular Reconstruction.

Professional AFFILIATIONS

Dr. Fairbanks’ broad training in Plastic Surgery allows him to care for patients of all ages. He is highly trained as a cosmetic plastic surgeon in Salt Lake City, UT. His areas of expertise include facial rejuvenation, eyelid surgery, nasal surgery, and lip enlargement. He is also highly trained in other popular procedures such as breast augmentation, breast reduction, liposuction, abdominoplasty, and body contouring for bariatric surgery patients. He has impressive results with fat grafting for both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. His special interest in congenital deformities includes surgery of the ear (microtia), prominent ear, cleft lip and palate, and cleft nasal deformities.

Dr. Fairbanks returned to Salt Lake City, Utah to practice following his training. Even though Dr. Fairbanks is in private practice, he continues his academic interest as an adjunct assistant professor of surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine.

To Dr. Fairbanks, the plastic surgery practice is the finest of the fine arts. He has a life-long history of interest in the arts through his heritage and formal training. He is an instructor for a Medical Life Drawing and Sculpture Course at a national professional society meeting. His art background benefits his practice, combining art and medicine in the form of Plastic Surgery.
