Travel Overview

Getting to Vision Fire from the U.S.

Vision Fire is held near Pisac in the Sacred Valley, outside Cusco.

While the destination is remote by design, the travel itself is straightforward and well-established. Participants arrive from across the U.S. each year using similar routes.

We provide detailed coordination and support once accepted.

Arrival and Departure dates (Topline)

  • Arrival Day 9/27/26: Day 0 (evening arrival into Cusco / Sacred Valley)

  • Retreat Begins 9/28/26: Day 1 (morning)

  • Retreat Ends 10/3/26: Day 6 (early afternoon)

  • Departure Day: Day 6 or later (depending on preference)

Please arrive the day before the retreat begins to allow for rest, altitude adjustment, and grounding. Many will choose to extend their trip before the retreat or post.

International Flight Routes (U.S. → Peru)

All participants fly internationally into Lima (LIM), then connect to Cusco (CUZ).

Typical routing:

  • Total travel time: ~12–15 hours (including connection)
  • Common departure cities: JFK, EWR, BOS, DCA, MIA

Domestic Flight: Lima → Cusco

  • Flight time: ~1 hour 20 minutes

  • Multiple daily flights

  • We recommend morning or early afternoon arrivals into Cusco when possible

Once in Cusco, ground transportation to the Sacred Valley is arranged.

Ground Transfer to the Sacred Valley

  • Travel time from Cusco to retreat location: ~1–1.5 hours

  • Transportation is coordinated and supported

  • Participants are met and guided into the Valley

This final leg is intentionally gentle, allowing the nervous system to settle as the environment shifts.

Altitude Considerations

  • Cusco elevation: ~11,000 ft

  • Sacred Valley elevation: ~9,000 ft (significantly lower)

Arriving the day before allows your body to adjust naturally.

The retreat location was chosen in part to reduce altitude strain.

After Acceptance

Once accepted, participants receive:

  • Recommended flight windows

  • Arrival coordination details

  • Packing guidance

  • Health and travel preparation notes

You will not be left to figure this out alone.
