Oxford Pet Whisperers grooming salon allows freelance groomers to rent a table and offer their services to their own and other customers. Similar to many hair salons customers can choose a dedicated groomer or whoever is available on the dates they need.

Rent A Table Opportunities

Oxford Pet Whisperers currently have opportunities for self employed dog groomers to join us on a “rent a table’ basis - 2 Tables available.

OPW’s grooming salon in located inside our daycare and boarding centre. We have over 600 active dogs using our services and ideally located for the whole of Didcot and being less than 10 minutes away from the A34 the local areas. The Salon currently has room for 3-4 grooming tables, a dog bath, reception area, customer parking, door entry intercom along with staff areas and toilet.

We have operated from this location for 3 years (2 years in lockdown) and have a loyal customers base and great reputation. We are the only 5 star rated daycare and boarding centre licensed by South Oxfordshire Council.

We pride ourselves on offering a convenient, 5 star service and you must be of the same mind set with your own business.

About You

You must be equipped with your own tools (Dryer, Scissors, Clippers, towels, shampoos etc) Equipment can be rented from

Oxford Pet Whisperers if required.

A hard working Groomer able to ensure cleanliness and procedural guidelines are adhered by.

Your own liability insurance.

A practical grooming qualification

What We Provide

Use of grooming salon across 6 Days a week between 9am - 6pm

Use of one allocated grooming table, bathroom and shower

Exposure to Oxford Pet Whisperers customer base (over 600) and social media followers (over 2000)

Staff kitchen and toilet

Power, heat, light, water and Wifi

An online booking portal for your customers to book, and for you to manage your opening hours and bookings.

Staff and customer parking

Storage of customer payment information for instances of no show or failed payment.

Customer base:

You can have your own customer base already or build one whilst at our salon.

Our groomers use one booking system and customers can select a specific groomer or simply select who is available that day meaning you have the opportunity to take over some Oxford Pet Whisperers customers. Our employed groomer is reducing their grooming hours, as such customers will be open to new ones operating from our salon

Other Benefits:

You must have some form of practical grooming qualification (not e-learning) and at least a basic portfolio of grooms. However we are not demanding any minimum amount of experience, so this may suit any confident groomer who has recently completed their training and can show their quality of groom.
