Our Hotel

All The Home Comforts With The Fun Of A Holiday Camp.

You're enjoying your holiday, why shouldn't your dog enjoy theirs? We have 8 personal rooms and several open dorm areas. Each of those are water tight, have raised beds, vet bedding, water bowls and room for their own bed. If your dog prefers a crate we have them too. They're all right next to the daycare play areas. Not a kennel in sight.

A Dog's Life

24 Hours With Oxford Pet Whisperers

Your dog's day starts at 7am when our guests will wake up and be given access to the garden. Whilst they're stretching their legs, our Pet Whisperer will be preparing their breakfast in our dog kitchen. They are all fed in their own areas or room so they can eat in peace alone. At 7.30am more Pet Whisperers arrive and our daycare customers start to bounce in. Up until 5pm they join in with whatever the days theme and enrichment is in the areas most suited to them. They can have a lazy day or an energetic party. During the sleep/chill out period of the daily structure, depending on the length of their stay, their age and their energy levels the hotel guest can sleep in their own room or just relax on the raised beds with their friends. At 4pm our daycare customers start heading home which means it's time for lights out, easy listening music and everyone to unwind and relax. Dinner is prepared for our guests who then usually have a nap. Around 6.30pm once all the centre has been cleaned it's up to them, most simply sleep the day off, but some still want to roam and play with friends. Either way, they have company for a relaxing evening. All dogs are usually then settled for the night and sleep soundly to relaxing classical music . If they need to toilet in the night they have space to do so in all the areas. (Don't worry they see our centre more as an indoor dog park so wont suddenly become un-housetrained) Our Pet Whisperers will monitor the dogs and be on hand if needed through the night.

Experienced Pet Whisperers

Qualified To Provide

Our team hold a range of dog behaviour and training, puppy training, canine first aid and welfare qualifications certified by IMDT, Sarah Whitehead, Puppy Start Right and others. Also each Pet Whisperer holds a diploma in Animal Management and Welfare. We use positive rewards based training methods to ensure we get the best out of your dogs.

Developing Manners

Rewards Based Training

Much like a school, our dogs are expected to behave with manners and the correct social skills. We focus on training and positively reinforcing these skills and behaviours during their days with us, whilst interrupting and distracting away from any unwanted behaviours such as jumping, barking etc

Enrichment

A Healthy Mind In A Healthy Body

Mental stimulation is just as important if not more so than physical exercise for your dog. Engaging your dog to work, learn, and explore is mentally and physically rewarding for them. Our sessions are stuctured to focus on all areas of enrichment.

Speak Dog

Canine Body Language

Our Pet Whisperers are taught how to implement all their knowledge in a daycare environment, especially mastering the art of reading a dogs body language. The key to keeping a safe and happy group of dogs is understanding non verbal communication.

Can any dog use your hotel?

All dogs who stay in our hotel join in with each fun filled day of daycare. This means our hotel services are only available to customers who have attended at least 4 daycare sessions within the month prior to their stay. If you're not a current customer you will need to register and attend a daycare behaviour and suitability assessment prior to consideration for hotel services.

What do you supply for overnight boarding?

We provide comfort, care and companionship. You supply the food as we don't want to disrupt their diet, you supply their bed so they have the smells of home. You'll be sent updates on their stay with us and can add extra such as Kong, LikiMat and other treats for their stay when you book.

Can they stay without a trial?

No, the law states "There must be a documented trial session for dogs to familiarise with each other before they home board" No care provider, other than a kennels, should be agreeing to let your dog stay over without a settling in session.

My pet has a special diet. Can their needs be accommodated?

Yes, we have full kitchen faculties on site, including fridge, freezer and medicine cupboard so we can store their special food or medication properly for them

How will I know what my dog is up to?

You're sent regular photos, and updates through our customer portal based on your selection when booking. Besides that most days you'll be able to see what they're up to on our Instagram stories.
