A Whole-Person Approach to Sustainable Weight Management
At Origins, we believe that health looks different for every person — and that no number on a scale or BMI chart defines your beauty or your health. You are whole exactly as you are. What we also know is that for some people, supporting metabolic health can be genuinely life-changing — not because of how it changes the way you look, but because of how it changes the way you feel.
Weight management is one of the most complex and deeply personal aspects of health — and one that is rarely served well by one-size-fits-all approaches. At Origins Integrative Health, we understand that sustainable metabolic support begins with understanding your unique biology, metabolism, hormones, and lifestyle — and building a program that works with your body rather than against it. Our medically supported program combines the foundations of evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine with advanced pharmaceutical options — including GLP-1 therapy — to create a personalized, sustainable, and clinically informed path to your health and wellness goals.
Hair loss is one of the most common and emotionally significant health concerns affecting both men and women — and one that conventional medicine has historically offered limited solutions for. At Origins Integrative Health, we offer Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy for hair restoration — an evidence-informed, biologically intelligent approach that works with your body's own healing capacity to stimulate follicle health, slow hair loss, and encourage meaningful regrowth.
This is not a surface treatment. PRP for hair restoration works at the level of the hair follicle itself — delivering concentrated growth factors precisely where they are needed to reawaken dormant follicles, improve scalp circulation, and create the biological conditions your hair needs to grow.
The hair follicle is a remarkably dynamic structure — and one that is highly responsive to the growth factors concentrated in platelet-rich plasma. When PRP is injected into the scalp, it delivers a potent combination of growth factors — including PDGF, VEGF, IGF-1, and EGF — directly to the follicular unit and surrounding dermal papilla cells.
These growth factors stimulate follicular stem cells, promote angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels) to improve follicle nutrition, extend the anagen (growth) phase of the hair cycle, and shift follicles from the telogen (resting) phase back into active growth. The result is a measurable improvement in hair density, diameter, and overall scalp health — achieved through your body's own biological resources.
PRP for hair loss has been studied extensively across multiple randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews — consistently demonstrating meaningful clinical benefit. A systematic review and meta-analysis published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology found that PRP therapy produced significant improvements in hair density, hair diameter, and the anagen-to-telogen ratio compared to placebo controls. A randomized controlled trial published in Dermatologic Surgery demonstrated that patients receiving PRP injections showed a mean increase of 33.6 hairs per cm² at six months — a clinically significant result with no serious adverse effects reported. Research has also shown that PRP is particularly effective for androgenetic alopecia — the most common form of hair loss in both men and women — as well as alopecia areata, telogen effluvium, and hair thinning associated with hormonal changes.

Regardless of the path you choose, every weight loss journey at Origins begins in the same place — with a thorough assessment of your health history, metabolic function, hormonal balance, nutritional status, and lifestyle. We understand that weight is rarely just about calories. It is influenced by hormones, inflammation, gut health, sleep, stress, and a deeply complex interplay of biological and lifestyle factors — and we treat it that way.
For patients who prefer or are best suited to a non-pharmaceutical approach, our unmedicated weight loss program provides comprehensive, clinically guided support through:
Comprehensive metabolic and hormonal assessment
Individualized nutrition counseling — evidence-based and tailored to your biology, preferences, and goals
Lifestyle and behavioral medicine — addressing sleep, stress, movement, and the habits that underpin lasting change
Nutraceutical and supplement support — targeted interventions to support metabolism, blood sugar regulation, and appetite balance
Naturopathic approaches to address underlying hormonal, thyroid, or digestive contributors to weight gain
Regular follow-up and ongoing support to keep you on track and adjust your plan as your body respo

Our Regenerative Therapies
For patients for whom lifestyle intervention alone has not produced adequate results — or for whom the biological drivers of weight gain require pharmaceutical support — we offer GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy as part of a comprehensive, medically supervised weight management program.
GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonists are a class of medications that work by mimicking the body's own GLP-1 hormone — a naturally occurring incretin hormone that plays a central role in appetite regulation, glucose metabolism, and energy balance. By activating GLP-1 receptors in the brain, gut, and pancreas, these medications reduce appetite and food cravings, slow gastric emptying to increase satiety, improve insulin sensitivity and blood sugar regulation, and support meaningful, sustained weight loss when combined with lifestyle modification.
SIGNIFICANT STUDIES
GLP-1 receptor agonists represent one of the most significant advances in obesity medicine in recent decades. Clinical trials have demonstrated weight loss of 15 to 22% of total body weight in patients receiving GLP-1 therapy alongside lifestyle intervention — results that were previously only achievable through bariatric surgery. Beyond weight loss, research has demonstrated meaningful improvements in cardiovascular risk factors, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar regulation, and inflammatory markers — making GLP-1 therapy a genuinely health-promoting intervention for appropriate candidates.
At Origins, GLP-1 therapy is never prescribed in isolation. It is always offered as a complement to the foundations of nutrition, lifestyle modification, and ongoing medical support — because we believe that medication works best when it is part of a broader, whole-person approach to health.

What to Expect
Most patients require an initial series of three to four treatments spaced four weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions every three to six months. Results are typically noticeable at three to six months — with continued improvement over the course of a full treatment year. PRP is safe, well-tolerated, and derived entirely from your own blood — making it one of the most biologically compatible treatments available for hair restoration.
