Pregnancy Yoga

Supporting Mothers-to-Be

What Is Pregnancy Yoga?

Pregnancy yoga, also called prenatal yoga, is specifically designed for pregnant women. It focuses on poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises that support the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy.

Key Benefits of Pregnancy Yoga

  • Physical Comfort: Reduces back pain, improves posture, and strengthens pelvic muscles, which can ease labor and delivery.

  • Stress Relief: Helps manage anxiety and stress through breathing and relaxation techniques.

  • Connection with Baby: Creates opportunities for bonding with your baby during pregnancy.

  • Community: Offers a chance to meet other expecting mothers and share experiences.

Important Considerations

  • Always consult your doctor before starting prenatal yoga, especially if you have a high-risk pregnancy.

  • Avoid poses that involve lying flat on your back after the first trimester or any movements that compress the belly.
