Therapy has helped me sort through many questions that I had being a second-generation Asian American, and it has helped me to honor the values my parents have instilled in me while also nurturing my own values separate from them. It has also helped me build stronger relationships with others, with myself, and cultivate a deeper sense of purpose. It would be an honor for me to help others as well the same way therapy has helped me.
Graduated from Brandman University (Now known as UMASS) with an MA in Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy
Worked in higher levels of care, including PHP and IOP, at a dual-diagnosis mental health treatment center
Worked at a non-profit community-based organization that provided services to the LGBTQ population which serviced individuals of different cultures, ages, economic backgrounds, and ethnicity
I also find interest in working with clients who struggle with anxiety and negative thinking. Life is already tough, and having that negative voice behind every action you take can make it even tougher. I believe that our thoughts impact our behaviors and feelings which is why I aim to evaluate how we can reframe our thoughts so that we can better manage our anxiety.
I take a compassion-based approach that is collaborative and client-focused. I am also LGBTQIA+ affirmative and culturally sensitive.
I want you to know I am here to support you on your journey wherever you are.
